Empowerment Through Education Contest

When Marcelina Fernández, a Hispanic girl with few resources was accepted to college, she was an exception. With the help of CAMP, a program funded by the U.S. Department of Education, she is now on her way to obtaining her masters. Today, as a counselor for CAMP, Marcelina visits more than 60 schools where she shares her passion for education and empowers hundreds of students.
