High Impact Purple

Charlotte Willer

Technique: Wet

Here, Emily starts with a base coat of the silvery white shade from Eye Studio® Color Plush™ Silk Eyeshadow in Purple Icon. To recreate at home, simply apply color using a small, flat brush from lash line to brow bone. Then, for a high-impact look and greater color saturation, wet your brush.

Darken

Dip your wet brush into the darkest color on the palette and begin lining the eyes close to the lashes, lining the shape of the eye. Pull the line out beyond the outer corner for more impact. Then apply the second darkest shade of purple above, filling in the lid from mid-point to outer corner.

Apply Matte In Crease

Next, go to the more matte lavender shade and fill in the rest of the upper lid, moving from inner corner to the middle of the eye. Continue wetting your brush as you go along, giving you more intensity and contrast.

Layer and Intensify

Brush the silvery white shade above the lid to the brow bone for a final high-contrast highlight. Then reapply the colors dry, which brings the sparkling particles in the shadow to the surface and delivers a super-shiny texture. Soften edges as you go with the dry brush, blending. For extra definition, line a darker color underneath the eye with a wet brush.

Complete The Look

To frame the eyes, coat lashes with XXL 24HR Bold™ Mascara in Very Black, sweeping the basecoat from root to tip. Before the basecoat dries, sweep the topcoat on for length and volume. A coat of gloss on the lips completes the look!
