GO FLAWLESS

It’s not your mother’s dusty old makeup! Mom could never wear anything so subtle. In fact, it shouldn’t even show on your skin. But with the power of powder on your side, you can set your foundation, eliminate shine and even get buildable coverage—all in one easy sweep.

Here are a few factors to consider when deciding which powder to use.

If you want to use a non-translucent powder, use the Easy Shade Finder in stores. Pick the shade that’s closest to your skin tone and test it on your jaw line. If the shade disappears into your skin, you’ve found your match. If you’re in doubt about your shade or are using powder simply to set your foundation, choose a translucent shade for an effortless choice.

Try these techniques to dust on your perfect powder. If you’re also wearing foundation and concealer, apply powder after to set the look.

PREP FOR APPLICATION
For loose powder, dip the puff or Expert Tools Face Brush into the formula and shake off any excess by tapping against the side of the container. For pressed powder, glide the applicator over the powder surface.

APPLY
Sweep loose powder over your face, making sure to reach your T-zone to stop the shine. For pressed powder, lightly pat the applicator over your face and blend it in with gentle, downward strokes. Skip the corners of your mouth and eyes to avoid amplifying the look of any wrinkles.

BUILD COVERAGE IF NECESSARY
If you’ve skipped foundation, you can add more coverage with an additional layer of a non-translucent powder—but apply lightly to avoid a chalky look.
