Rated 1 out of 5 by from Miss the old formula I’m here with everyone else wishing the old formula would come back. I wore porcelain ivory and that disappeared.. then lo and behold the whole line was changed. I don’t like the new formula and it breaks my skin out. I tried the “Fit Me” line and it has a strange powdery finish that highlights pores where I’ve never even seen them! Please Maybelline, bring back the old dream liquid mousse for your die hard fans!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as good as the Dream Liquid Mousse Please bring back the Dream Liquid Mousse! It was my favorite drugstore go to! It stayed on my face for quite a while, wasn’t oily and the shade range is great.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Colors are fake - not natural You have a couple of light colors and the rest are orange to dark now. The new #30 is not at all like the old #30 which was Natural Ivory. Why would you keep a number and use a different name? I cant find anything in this new product line that is close to my old color. I used to buy two bottles at a time to always have it on hand. If I had known it was going to be discontinued I would have bought 20 bottles till I figured out a new product. There is nothing else in your product line formula wise let alone finding the color so I have to leave Maybelline behind because you are so limited in colors for the new formula. You lost another customer! I'm sad because I trust Maybelline for a drugstore brand.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful Horrible color, not the same at all, #30 is very orange now! Coverage not good either anymore! Was an amazing foundation at an excellent price, but I'll pay the money for what I need. Hope you somehow, someway bring it back at least as an option to get your costomers you lost back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New Formula is Bad I've used the Dream Liquid Mousse for years, and it was the perfect foundation. It was lightweight, always blended well, looked clean and natural, had buildable coverage when needed, and never irritated my sensitive skin. Unfortunately, this new formula has added Ethylexyl Palmitate, which is notoriously acnegenic. I'm not obsessive about staying away from comedogenic ingredients completely (most are ok if they're far enough down the ingredients list). But Ethylexyl Palmitate is a level 4, and is terrible for those of us who have sensitive skin. The original really was a "dream" foundation. This switch was a rude awakening. Now to hunt for a replacement. :(

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Miss the old formula I was a long-time fan of the old Dream Liquid Mousse. The color was great, it didn't break my skin out and it would last at the gym. This new formula is greasy, breaks my skin out and doesn't provide anywhere near the coverage of the previous one. Unfortunately, I'll have to switch to something else now.
Date published: 2018-10-25
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sad This is not like the dream liquid mousse. I LOVED the old formula. The color was perfect and so was the way the foundation applied. This formula just doesn’t go on the same and the color looks different than it did with the dream liquid mousse. Will be returning this one and finding a new foundation which is such a horrible process /:

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible change The mousse foundation was the best and it's so upsetting that you discontinued it for something that is NOTHING like it. There is no foundation that you have that works for me now. I don't understand why you changed it?
Date published: 2018-10-18
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible change - NOT the same as Liquid Mousse I purchased this because apparently it replaced Dream Liquid Mousse. The product is not even close to the original. It spreads differently, looks different and worst of all is causing my skin to break out! Another bad change for Maybelline with a product I was loyal to, like the Browntones Duo eyeshadow that was discontinued! So disappointed!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Gonna lose lot of money Bring back the original b4 u loose a lot of money!
Date published: 2018-10-15
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Changed formula? The old formula was soooo much better, super disappointed in the quality of the new foundation in the same style bottle. It use to be the reason I loved Maybelline. The product I returned to and rebought most often. The new formula doesn’t compare.
Date published: 2018-10-10
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Upset! PLEASE bring back the Dream Liquid Mousse! Looks like I'm not the only one that's upset! This new stuff is not the same, and we are not happy!!!!
Date published: 2018-10-03
Rated 1 out of 5 by from NO Comparison I couldn't believe that you discontinued the Dream Liquid Mousse make-up. (It was bad enough when you earlier discontinued the Mousse blush!) People continuously complimented me on my skin and would ask what I was wearing (because it looked so natural and not made-up). Your new product (in identical bottle ... shame on you) is not a replacement for Liquid Mousse -- it isn't similar and in fact, is exactly like all the other thick, gooey stuff out there. Please bring back Liquid Mousse without any "new and improved." Please.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This is NOT Dream Liquid Mousse I've used the Dream Liquid Mousse daily for over 10 years. It was beautiful on my skin. Provided wonderful all-day coverage, flowed on easily and, most importantly, moisturized my skin. I went to purchase some and could only find this Dream Satin Liquid Foundation in its place. I tried it and noticed an instant change in coverage and texture. Worse, my skin is now dry and flaky. Definitely not returning to buy this new version. Please, please, please return to the Original Dream Liquid Mousse formula. I'll be buying someone else's products in the meantime. So disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE IT! As a person with extremely dry skin, this does wonders! It lasts all day and you only really need one possible one and a half pumps. I just got the wrong shade as I got a foundation with pink undertones instead of yellow. I love the glass packaging as it makes it seem much more luxurious! I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a new foundation and I prefer this texture to the mousse (it is WAY less cakey).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bring back Dream Liquid Mousse I spent 25 years searching for the perfect foundation. I finally found it and you discontinue. The mousse lasted! I sweat like crazy and work outdoors and yet it still lasted. The creamy texture covered flawlessly. All your other foundations are thin, barely cover, and the color never matches. Disappointed.
Date published: 2018-09-23
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Go back to Air brush finish I bought this and it’s nothing like the air brush finish mousse. This one is like putting water on your face. I didn’t pay money to put water.
Date published: 2018-09-07
Rated 1 out of 5 by from PLEASE BRING BACK DREAM LIQUID MOUSSE!!! PLEASE BRING BACK DREAM LIQUID MOUSSE!!! It had the best consistency and the finish was so natural and radiant. I would get so many compliments and people would think I did not have any foundation on. The new formula of the Dream Satin feels heavy and drying just like a lot of other drugstore foundations

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bring back Dream Liquid Mousse! I am prone to breakouts, and bought the Dream Liquid Mousse in a whim about a year ago. Since then, my face has cleared up completely, and I was a devout Dream Liquid Mousse user. I noticed recently that the packaging and formula had changed, but I was in desperate need of foundation, so I gave in and bought a bottle of the Dream Satin Liquid. Big mistake. It felt greasy on my face, the color was off, and within one day of wearing it, I was sporting two new pimples. I haven't had a single pimple in a year. I'm very disappointed, and am currently scouring the shelves for any bottles of Dream Liquid Mousse in my color. So far, I have found two bottles that I'm coveting like a dragon covets gold. If you loved Dream Liquid Mousse and have problematic skin, do yourself a favor and save your money. Dear Maybelline, if it isn't broke, then don't try to fix it.
Date published: 2018-09-05
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Entirely changed for the worse I have been using the Dream Liquid Mousse for years and was struggling to find it. I picked up the Dream Satin in the same color I was using, and it is entirely different looking on my face. The color is off, and it's more shiny (which I don't like, even though the shiny look is in). I'm really bummed, because now I'll have to search for another foundation!! :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best out there I have used a lot of different foundations from many expensive and economic brands and this formula is just amazing. Great for dry skin or a combination
Date published: 2018-08-27
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not the same I LOVED the Dream Liquid Mouse formula and color. I’ve never been able to find my exact shade until I found that one after watching a YouTuber review and rave all about it... bought it and cleared the bottle. I’ve never wanted to do my makeup so much; but when I went to get a new one, it’s all liquid satin... it doesn’t dry the same and the color never matches quite right. PLEASE for the love of all that is sacred to the makeup industry; just bring the Dream Liquid Mouse back. flat out disappointed that I’m back to square one of wasting money trying out new foundations I don’t like as well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Would not recommend Honestly the worst foundation I've ever bought. I have usually have normal skin, and have NEVER had a problem with a face makeup making my skin oily. But when I say this stuff made me beyond oily, I mean I looked like a freaking New York pizza. & It made me break out after just a few hours(3-4 tops) The colors are a tad off. I bought classic ivory, and it's super orange. & It has minimal coverage. I have clear skin for the most part, but my face is uneven and blotchy from scars and sun marks so I use foundation to make it even out. But this stuff is like putting tanning oil on your face. Terrible terrible terrible, would not recommend or rebuy this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not happy with this product I had been buying the dream liquid mousse air brush finish for a long time and was very happy with the products full, buildable coverage. I liked how it stayed in place and worked for aging skin and wouldn't clump in the fine lines and creases. I noticed that it was recently discontinued and now you have the satin liquid foundation. It shows every crease and fine line and smears and doesn't have that air brush finish i was getting from the mousse foundation. Please bring the liquid mousse air brush finish back. I was a very satisfied customer till now...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great product with poor color selection I really like this new foundation, light-medium coverage but still buildable. However, the color choices stink. The classic ivory is too dark for me and the porcelain ivory is way too pink.
Date published: 2018-08-01
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing I was looking for a new foundation to replace the Fit Me foundation that I’ve been using for years, so I tried this one. It is so hydrating and so feel like I have nothing on my face! The only problem I have with it is that the lightest shade is still a little too dark for me, but it’s an easy fix. I’ve also noticed my acne improving more since I’ve switched to this foundation, as well as my face staying moisturized all day (I would usually start getting dry spots throughout the day that would show through my foundation). I HIGHLY recommend this product :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely amazing! I have been a L'Oréal fanboy for years and years but a lot of my friends have been telling me for a while to try this Dream satin liquid foundation out and a month ago I decided to get it and I must admit, it honestly it blew my mind. It is definitely my most favourite drugstore foundation ever! The coverage is quite impressive and it is so easy to blend into my skin. I'm definitely going to stick to this foundation for a while and I truly hope Maybelline won't like ever discontinue it because I just love it so much. My skin is quite normal, in the Winter my skin gets very dry and during the Summer it gets a little bit oily around my nose and forehead but this foundation even though it says it moisturizes and it is true, it definitely keeps my skin moisturized, but it also in a miraculous way keeps my skin from getting oily on itself. So I don't know what kind of voodoo juju Maybelline's come up with this one but it really shocked me how well it sat on my face all day long no matter how hot it got outside, it didn't move a bit and it looks flawless. I can just tell that when Winter comes it is going to shock me allover again keeping my skin moisturized and preventing it from drying up. I definitely recommend this foundation to anyone who has normal to combination skin and especially to people with oily skin, I really think this is going to work very well with you. I could say I recommend it to people with oily skin as well, but it depends here more on the weather, I guess if you have extremely oily skin you wouldn't want to wear this foundation during Summer, but during Winter, I think it'd work perfectly all right. As I said I usually do get oily during hot weather and this foundation really impressed me at how well it stayed on my face and it didn't contribute to my natural oily skin. So it could come as a surprise to you too, but it is really nice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Difference between new and old formula. For those wondering, the difference between the new packaging and the old version of liquid dream mousse in formula is the addition of hyaulronic acid (moisturizer) and silica to the ingredient list. Very similar to before with some slight differences. Pro: lasts longer, doesn't break up as much, still smooth. Con: feels a little slicker, doesn't wear as comfortably throughout the day as before, probably because it lasts longer. Since Maybelline has not been responsive to questions about the reformulation of this product, as someone who has worn this makeup for years, precisely because it was friendly to people with bad cosmetic allergies, I wanted to post more details.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My Favorite Go-To Foundation Been using this for years and it works well for everyday wear. It’s not heavy on my skin and blends well with concealers. My skin is in between light and medium, so Creamy Natural (50) is perfect.

Hi...My original question was going to be what # & shade replaces the dream Liquid Mousse 30 with the new dream Satin Liquid. However, after reading the reviews I'm no longer interested in this new version. Very disappointed that you changed the formula.

Why why do you discontinue good products like the dream liquid mousse foundation. I hate the replacement and the fit me Dewey and smooth isn't that great either. I'm done with you Maybelline. Switching to another brand.

I used the dream velvet soft matte foundation and I have notice its not in stores anymore, what happened to it and where can I order it? That is the only foundation that I can use that covered all my imperfections.

Asked by: Jochoa42
Hey Jochoa42! We are sorry to inform you that our Dream Velvet Soft Matte Foundation has been discontinued. As consumers ourselves we completely understand how disappointing this can be. As a replacement product we would like to recommend our Dream Satin Liquid foundation + hydrating serum which delivers the looks of completely poreless skin. I have dry skin in winters and oily skin in summers, which type of foundation would be suitable for me to buy that can be used in summers and winters both seasons on my skin?

Asked by: rizbe
Hi rizbe! We suggest you try our Super Stay Full Coverage Foundation. With its flawless finish, it will help you on those warm summer days and then, paired with a hydrating primer, great to use in the winter as well! We hope this helps!

I need a foundation that is not as heavy as Super Stay. It's just too heavy in the summer. Would this product be a good replacement for something lighter but still covers well?

Asked by: Hunniof11
Hi Hunniof11! Our Dream Satin Liquid Foundation would be a good alternative if you are looking for a litter foundation that will give you good coverage! Please note, that this formula will give you a satin/natural finish as opposed to the Super Stay, which has a matte finish. We hope that this information was helpful!
