HOW TO USE EYEBROW PENCILS

FOR DEFINED, NATURAL-LOOKING BROWS

We talk a lot about contouring having the ability to lift the cheeks and give your face a more chiseled appearance, but the eyebrows don’t get the same credit for all of the work that they do. When shaped and styled right, your arches have the power to draw attention to your eyes and even fake a more awake look. And for that, they deserve much more recognition. Read on for top tips on how to use an eyebrow pencil and some other handy brow products that will help make your eyes the prize.

1. BRUSH UP & OUT

Using the spoolie side of the Express Brow Ultra Slim, brush brow hairs up and over. This will help to add shape to your arches and it’ll show you the areas that need to be filled in.

2. FILL IN BROW CONTOUR

After brushing, your brow hairs will appear more separated so that you’re easily able to see any sparse spots. The super fine tip of the Ultra Slim pencil is perfect for creating hair-like strokes in those areas for a fuller appearance. Just remember to have a light hand as you draw– any lines that are too harsh and dark won’t look like real hair.

3. BLEND & BUILD

It can be helpful to go in with the spoolie side again in order to blend the pencil strokes and your own hair for a more natural appearance. If you feel that your brows are still lacking fullness, enlist the help of a pomade, which will add some extra texture. Try Tattoo Studio Brow Pomade or Brow Extension Fiber Pomade Crayon, and concentrate the product in those same patchy spots.

4. SET YOUR SHAPE

To ensure that your bulked up brows stay in place all day, set hair with a brow gel like Express Brow Fast Sculpt. Choose a clear formula or one of our seven pigmented shades that will beef up your brows even more. When you pull the brush out of the tube, remove the excess on the side, then run it through your brows in the same way you did with the clean spoolie earlier.

5. ADMIRE YOUR NEW ARCHES

Voila! Say hello to your fuller, fluffier brows.
