What's happened to my favorite mascara???

I can't find a way to contact the company so I am writing this review in hopes that they see it. I have used this mascara for many many years and I have always loved it, however for the last few months when I purchase it from our local Walmart it seems as though the product dries out very fast and is clumpy or something. I thought it was just a bad tube the first time but the next tube had the same exact problem. What is going on...why am I paying over $10 for mascara that doesn't last more than a month?

This is amazing! It never clumps, it never flakes, it never smudges, it adds serious length to eyelashes without looking like you’re wearing mascara. I’ve been using this for years. Yes, I have tried others based on friends and professionals suggestions. They are never as good!! I always come back to lash stiletto!

Allergic Suddenly

I loved this mascara and have been using this mascara for about 15 years and I am suddenly allergic the last 2 months my eyes get so puffy and itchy they hurt so bad and takes over 1 week to get better. I dont know if they changed their ingredients or formula?

Like the product but it does flake easily

Been buying this for a long time because it does come off nicely with just water but it has always flaked easily. And most recently I opened a brand new tube out of the package and it was defective and was missing the thing that cleans off the brush as you pull it out and apparently this isn’t rare because the top review said the same thing! Sucks when you are out that amount of money and nothing you can do to use it! Thank goodness I had another one!

LOVE this Mascara!

I've been wearing this mascara for about 2 weeks now! I LOVE it. It separates and lengthens my lashes with ease. It doesn't go on clumpy. It removes easily. The only change I would suggest is making the bristles on the end of the brush a little more compact and shorter in order to more easily apply mascara to the lower lashes.

Defective Tube

I learned a valuable lesson today - NEVER throw away the old tube of mascara before you check to make sure the new one is good! I opened a new tube of this mascara and it was defective. The gasket that pulls off the excess product from the wand is completely missing, so the wand is just one huge glob of mascara. There is no way to apply it to lashes. That's a disaster when you're putting on makeup to go somewhere and and now have no mascara! Looking through other reviews, I was surprised to see several that mention the exact same issue, so apparently it's more than just a one-in-a-million glitch during the manufacturing process. Extremely disappointing. I would have rated it zero stars if that were possible.

I’ve been using this mascara for years now. It’s my favorite mascara. I’m always shooting for length and this gives it to me every time. I hope and pray they never discontinue this mascara, because it’s the only one I use. Only con is it’s hard to find in stores sometimes.

My only complaint is that it is supposed to be waterproof. Well, my eyes are constantly watering & the mascara does not stay. I have to reapply. Doesn’t Waterproof mean it should stay ?

They changed it for the worst

I used to swear by this product it WAS the best, but recently ( 6 mos) maybelline decided to change the ingredients and now all it does all day long is flake off onto my face. I'm really heartbroken because it truly was amazing until they changed it and now i cant wear it at all. I spent alot of money buying this mascara hoping I just got a bad one only to have to throw all of them away. Truly sad

This product isn't bad, but it certainly didn't live up to my expectations. It lengthens my lashes well enough, but I have to apply several coats to get the effect that both of my other mascaras give me in one or two strokes. If you're looking for an every-day mascara without a lot of drama, then this is the mascara for you. if you want something more intense, I would recommend something else.

I always try new mascaras - just in case there is something magic that makes my average lashes longer and fuller than Lash Stiletto, with no clumping, or flaking midday :( - but so far, there's nothing! I always come back to this one. It's the easiest one to apply quickly too when I'm in a huury, which is often. And the waterproof version is super easy to remove with Clinique Take the Day Off makeup remover. I am concerned because I can't find it in 2 stores I've been to recently. Please tell me it's not being discontinued, but maybe just new packaging is coming out?

Super length, no clumps!

I've been using this mascara (washable formula) ever since it came out, many years ago. It has a great brush that can be used either horizontally OR vertically (for fine tuning single lashes). The formula and brush are all about length and it does a beautiful job with no clumping. I have tried so many mascaras from very high end to the least expensive and this has been my absolute favorite. It has an actual brush with bristles - not those terrible plastic "brushes" that have become so popular. The color is a nice, inky black (though I used to like the black/brown too when that was still available). I do not like waterproof mascaras as a rule but this one is great to "top coat" over the washable version for special occasions where tearing is a possibility. Please do no ever discontinue this mascara! It truly is my holy grail of mascaras!!!

This stuff works really really good! I use to use it all the time. Now, I use it whenever my eyelashes need to be more spread out or thinner looking!

I havent used this in awhile but when I was younger it was my absolute favorite mascara. I wouldnt use anything else, it wasnt clumpy at ALL. I loved how pretty it made my lashes.

I have this for a while ! It gives me the length I need and the volume also! It really intensified my natural lashes and its really waterproof you have to get a good eye makeup remover to remove this ! I really recommend its super affordable

I love the length that this mascara gives my eyelashes. It makes them look great! The price is also affordable. My only issue with this mascara is that it tends to bother my eyes. They burn a little after wear.

Washed off easily at the end of the day but was under my eyes at the end of the day without me rubbing my eyes. But was very voluminous. Didnt make my eyelashes club together and there were no climbs on my eyelashes.
