Terrible

Worst eyeliner ever, it doesn’t last more than a few seconds, if you even think about touching your eye, it’s all done. Don’t go in any moist environment or your giving “ black tears” . It’s marketed to “ stay all day” yeah it’ll stay all day running all over your face.

Terrible compared to old version

I have bought this eyeliner for years… like 10+ so when I tell you I was a lifer, just know how many I’ve bought over the years. BUT this new version is NOT it. I don’t know what they did to change it but it is terrible now. I am holding onto my old one for dear life because I’ve bought at least 5 of the new ones thinking I got a bad one and they are all the same. They are dry, the end falls off, the liner doesn’t go on the same and the tip is so flimsy it doesn’t work half as well as the old version. Please please bring back the old version. Unfortunately I will be abandoning ship.

Used to be amazing, it's not worth it now.

I used to absolutely love this eyeliner, it was the only one I bought and ever since they changed the packaging it is awful. I have bought four replacements because they keep drying out so fast and I thought I may have gotten a defective one and it turns out it's just the product now. This last one that I bought I got one week's worth of use out of it and it's already done. I'm going to start buying something else. Do not waste your money on this product!!!!!!! So disappointed. I also want to point out that it's worth noting that I have kept an old eyeliner with the old formula that I've had for at least 2 years now and I still can get use out of it more than the new ones that I've bought. So it's definitely the new product and to not something else.

Don’t know why it has good reviews

This stuff is trash. I decided to try it because the store was out of the Hyper Easy. I cannot believe this is called Master Precise. It barely comes out, you need to have a heavy hand, and then it skips horribly and it’s difficult to apply it close to the lash line.

Great, smudge proof eyeliner!

Maybelline Master Presice Eyeliner is one of my favorite eyeliners i have used. Thus eyeliner has great coverage, really easy application, no smudging and long lasting wear. The color of this eyeliner is great as well. Definitely an eyeliner that will be a staple in my makeup from now on.

Change to formula, color are a huge MISS

The recent change to this line has made the product worse. I've been a user of this product for years in the Forest Brown. Since the redesign, the only option is Brown and it's more of a lighter brown, more like red/brick brown and the formula is not smooth. I try to layer it to get it dark and it's very spotty, dries uneven. So disappointed in this change to the color and formula. Please go back!! In the meantime I'll be looking for an alternative brand.

AMAZING eyeliner but the cap does not stay on :((

The pen is super precise, the color is opaque, it doesn't smudge or smear, but the first one I had fell apart in my purse after one wear, three days after I bought it :( . I bought another one bc the product was so good, and the cap was just as super loose and extremely easy to knock off with just one little touch. Can't keep it in my purse to reapply or even in my makeup bag.

This eyeliner has a great felt tip for application. I can draw the thinest lines with this cute green color. It last all day, doesn’t smudge, and doesn’t make the eyes itchy.

They changed this product. It was my favorite eyeliner of all time but they changed the product applicator or formula in some way after changing the packaging. The new style is difficult to apply and dries out much faster. Please go back to the original design! I was obsessed but now I need to find something to replace it

I used to love this liner but they must have changed the caps or something cause I’ve had to buy 3 replacements cause the caps come off and dry up in my makeup bag. It’s getting really annoying, I’m about to just switch bag to my E.L.F liner.

Love the applicator and how easy it glides on. This eyeliner also stays on all day until I take it off. I have tried MANY expensive brands that claim to be waterproof and stay on all day and don't. What a pleasant surprise to find your product that does exactly that.

Cosmic PurpWas an amazing color - I really miss it

tThe Cosmic Purple version of this Master Precise liquid eyeliner was AMAZING. I often got unsolicited compliments on it from strangers and friends and my young nieces. That's pretty unusual for someone my age. I really miss it and wish they would bring back that color. The applicator was also great and it stayed on all day. PLEASE bring it back.

Terrible dry formula, used to be good

Terrible new formula. It is dry and hard to apply now. I found my old one with the old packaging design on it and it works way better despite the fact I’ve probably had it for over 6 months to a year and use it almost daily. Don’t buy if you see the new packaging design.

Pen sucks

These pens suck I have to push down on my counter in order to get it to work if I just try putting it straight on it acts like it’s dry (been doing that sense I bought it). Love Maybelline products but will NEVER get this liner again!!!

Sharp precision

The application is very precise because the tip of this eyeliner is so fine and inky. It has standard packaging and slim to hold and apply. It didn’t flake or smear on my eyes yet was easy to remove w eye makeup remover.

Beautiful long lasting pigment

It really stays all day. I’m so accustomed to eyeliner that needs reapplication throughout the day, that I didn’t know what to do with myself upon checking my eye makeup. I had the eyeliner automatically ready to draw and refresh, and I was astonished to find it unnecessary. It really stays put long term and its quality matches those products that are way more expensive. The best part of course is that it doesn’t irritate my super sensitive eyes.

Decent precision liner

We love a smooth liquid liner and great applicator - this maybelline precise all day line does that. I’m not great with liner so having a precise and easy applicator works great.
I normally don’t go for colors but this green was interesting! It’s more an emerald which I thought was fun. And it’s not too much that I got weird looks at work! Lol
Overall I thought it was w decent liner!

Defective top

I have switched to Sky High Mascara. I ordered my first purchase from Amazon. I noticed the top rim of the applicator looked defective. I loved the the new mascara after using my old one for 10 plus years. After a few uses, the top came off the part that you use to apply your mascara on with. I put it back together but it will still come apart. The mascara drys out quickly because it doesn’t seal tightly now. I ordered a second one. Same defective cap, same issue. I went to Walmart to purchase a third one. They all had the same defective cap. The other brands of this product with different shades does not. I would like to keep using the sky high black mascara but would like it not to be in a defective applicator. I’ve wasted money on this product twice, not sure what is wrong with manufacturing.

Cap does not stay on

I really wanted to love this product! Unfortunately, the cap does not stay on well and the product completely dried up before I could get good use out of it. I was only able to use the eyeliner a few times before it became unusable. In a makeup bag inside a purse with normal movement, the eyeliner cap regularly came off by itself. I ALWAYS travel with eyeliner. Many other eyeliner caps do not have this problem. Thank you

This used to be my favorite eyeliner. I’m so disappointed in the formula change. The packaging changed and it’s not the same liner. It used to be smooth. Now it goes on like grain and you can’t go back and fix a spot without all of it wiping off like sand. Idk what you guys did but you ruined your product. Switched to a different brand.

For the price, this is amazing! I personally use a very expensive liner that applies perfectly for me. This didn’t pull me away from my liner, but I would use it as a backup in a pinch!

I've been using this eyeliner forever. Probably over 10 years. They just changed the look and the formula and now I hate it. I usually put on eyeliner, curl my lashes, then put on mascara. Now, when I use my Eyelash curler, the eyeliner sticks to it and comes off when I remove the curler. It literally NEVER did that before with the old formula. PLEASE fix this!!

Fun, nice application

I used this eyeliner for an 80s party. It was easy to apply, easy to wash off, stayed on all night, and I got lots of compliments on it. I don't usually wear a lot of colored makeup, but this was a fun change of pace!

Maybelline Master Precise Eyeliner- Emerald glides smoothly to my eyelids. It's a very easy and precise application. Also applied it to my waterline. I really love the color. It looks great with my brown eyes, no smudging throughout the day. I think it's very affordable for quality products.

Q: My question has been ask by other customers. Why does the cap come off so easily. The cap does not snap in, it slides back in and its not a good tight fit. I brought this eyeliner twice already and both the caps came off. I was very disappointed.

Q: After about one use I cannot get the product to dispense enough product to make a complete line without dragging it multiple times. The extra effort makes it impossible to ensure a precise straight line. How do I dispense more product onto the brush?

Q: The first time I used it, it flowed out fine. The third and subsequent times, I can't get the liquid to wet the brush. I store it upright and tap the pencil before use...but this doesn't do anything. Your responses to others doesn't solve the issues.
