Didn't work for me.

I did not like this product at all. I tried it a few different ways and never saw any differences or changes. I used it all over my body and face. Mixed it into my moisturizers. I used 12 drops (the max it recommends) on the lotion for my body and saw no changes. The next morning the skin on my ankles and knees were a little darkened with an orange tint. For my face, the first time I used 4 drops and next morning saw no difference. The second time I used 6 drops and again saw no difference. It says its supposed to develop after 6-8hrs so I applied it at night after my shower. I didn't notice any scent so it doesn't smell strong like other self tanners which is good, but I didn't notice any changes or anything so I stopped using it. Note, I'm also pretty pale so to not see any changes was odd and I used a lot. There was more of the serum than the lotions.

I really love this product.
Super simple to add to my moisturizer and doesn’t create an extra step.
It gives you that sun-kissed look and you don’t have to self tan all over.
Even my pre-teen uses this and doesn’t make her look orange.

Didn’t really work for me.

Unfortunately I didn’t really see any results from this product. I’m pretty pale and my face is often red. I really didn’t notice any difference after I applied the drops. There wasn’t any smell which was great and I do have sensitive skin and it didn’t break me out which was great! I love the glass bottle with the dropper, it makes application easy. I may continue to try this product to see if I get different results.

Love it!! Perfect for winter time, when I’m feeling pale! Doesn’t make me look orange, has no scent! I think it’s a great self tanner, mix it with facial moisturizer and you’re good to go!

It’s not sticky even though I’m darker this really helped me achieve a even tan line. My skin was soft and glowy after applying. It’s was really easy to apply and smooth and easy to glide.

People who want an easy, low commitment natural looking face and neck tan without the classic self tanner smell or heavy commitment of traditional lotions/ mousses. Great for beginners, sensitive skin or anyone’s prefers mixing self tanner into their existing routine. If you want a quick, customizable, hydrating glow that doesn’t scream “Fake tan” this is worth trying. The pigmentation is so natural.

I loved these tanning drops! I dropped them with my daily moisturizer, and they blended easily without feeling greasy or sticky. The color developed gradually and I think it looks amazing. Before is the first picture & after is the second! I liked the consistency of this product going on. I haven’t used tanner on my face before because I was afraid it would make me look unnaturally tan after, but this gave me the perfect amount of tan and was just what I was looking for. I liked the finish of the product as well.

Easy to use tanning drops! Made to help with that tan look on your face, where most tanners tell you to avoid! Water like consistency, doesn’t feel oily or greasy. Easy to apply alone or add drops in your favorite facial moisturizer. Love the sleek glass packaging. Easy to take on the go if needed with its lightweight small container. Will be adding this to my routine when doing sunless tanning!

I'm really impressed with the Maybelline Super Stay Summer Shot Tanning Drops! The pigmentation is buildable and gives a natural, sun-kissed tan without looking orange. It has a pleasant, subtle scent that isn't overpowering like traditional self-tanners. The application is super easy—it blends smoothly into my favorite moisturizer without leaving streaks. Once dry, there is no transfer onto my clothes or pillowcases, which is a huge plus! Lastly, the washability is great; it fades evenly over a few days without leaving patchiness. Highly recommend!

I think being able to customize the intensity of the product is very nice. Especially since doing the minimum recommended drops in your lotion will provide a light bronzing, whereas adding more drops will apply slightly more of a tint. Originally my gut was thinking this would be great for tan lines, and it really could be. As long as the tan lines is not severe. My boyfriend has a crazy tan line where his watch sits and while it helped a bit (with the max recommended drops), it couldn’t really touch that tan line. I then decided to tape off a heart on some of my skin that tans poorly. I was pleasantly surprised at how natural the distinction was between the skin the was covered and the skin the product was applied to. While this product is not meant to tan your whole body. The last test I did with it was on my face. I think the result was fairly natural and even my own partner who was completely unaware of the application made no comments about the change in complexion. I am unsure of the build ability, but I think there are definitely suitable applications for this product. Fixing my boyfriend’s harsh tan line probably isn’t on that list though.

I have been blessed with my families mostly Norwegian pale genes so try to tan in the summer is a nightmare! I’ve been using these drops to add some color to my face and it’s so nice not feeling like I’m as pale as a ghost all summer long but somehow tan during the winter months.

These tanning drops did not work for me and I have very fair skin. I liked how the drops were clear, so they did not get on my sheets. I used much more than the suggested amount on the bottle and barely saw any color the next day. I think you need to use it every day and build up color over time, which is not how it is advertised.

I tried this product multiple times and used 8 drops to get these results. I mixed with my daily moisturizer and applied with my fingers. The first time I tried a brush with 4 drops and saw no difference. Then I tried 6 and still couldn’t see much of a tan. I’m pretty fair skinned. It is a very thin formula. I like that it isn’t as scented as other tanning products.

I am super pale during most months of the year but this product has had me looking and feeling so tan lately! It is thin, not sticky, and it clear which I really appreciated. This product has a dropper that allows it to go on super easily as it almost seems like water. The product is affordable and works. You can find it at most places too. I really have become a huge fan of this brand due to using this product.
