Highly do not recommend this mascara. I got it and the formula was so dry it would not even go onto my lashes. Such a waste of money and wish I had not gotten it. Really wanted it to be great but it ended up horrible.

Wand missing or broken

First I want to say I am not a complainer, but I am a bit frustrated, I love the look of this mascara and I love the way the brush head is shaped. The problem is about every three tubes I purchase has a missing or broken wand. I have to buy them two at a time just in case. The two I just purchased are both broken. I hate to change, but I may have to. I cant afford to keep buying them to just throw them away.

Started off great got bad fast

I've been using the yellow tube of colossal for a couple years now I've tried alot of mascaras and I liked that one the best but even with my naturally long eyelashes I wanted some more oomph so I tried the pumped up version. That night I bought it I tried it and wow it looked like I had fake eyelashes on. I was pumped up no pun intended. Then the tube and brush started getting way too messy then my eyelashes would clump so I tried to pair it with the Maybelline colossal big shot tinted primer and even then if I used to much pumped up it would clump and just be so messy all over my hands n face. Now it completely dried up and doesn't work anymore. I just bought the tube two weeks ago. I'm so mad atleast the yellow tube of colossal wasn't messy and didn't dry out at all. Waste of money but I'm still gonna keep using the big shot tinted primer. Hate to say it but I might try lash Paradise now because I'm so mad.

Why must it flake?????

Bought this mascara because it has no stearic acid-I am allergic to this stupid ingredient. So disappointed that it flakes everywhere!!! It gets in my eyes it look atrocious!!! Why can’t some make a mascara without stearin acid that performs well??

Clumps, flakes and dries immediately!

I recently purchased the Pump Up Colossal mascara to give my lashes an extra boost. The mascara was completely clumped on the brush. Had to wipe it down excessively on the tube to remove the mascara. Not sure if was the brush itself. As I applied it, it was drying out, flaking and clumped on my lashes. I can't return the product at Target since it has been used. Very disappointed. I have used the Great Lash for over 20 years and never had issues. I will stick to Great Lash.

My lashes are thin, and this mascara helps my lashes stand out with a lash primer, and it stayed out put for long hours and impressed with the mascara. Colossal Collection is my favorite along with Colossal Cat Eye. thanks Maybelline New York. Mascaras are still going stronger.

Is Glam Black a different formula?

I have used Classic Black for a while now. Although it dries out quickly, I have liked the effect and the lasting nature. I tried Glam Black recently, and purchased 2 at the same time, because I was excited to have a more striking color and look. I am incredibly disappointed.
I curl my eyelashes and put this on and they flatten out immediately.
I curl them again and they barely do anything. It clumps easily. It flakes.
Is this formula drastically different from the original? Is there a way to swap out the extra new one I have as unfortunately I do not have the original receipt?

I loved this mascara; however, of my last 4 purchases (in 3 months time) the product has either been dried up and not lasted or, with 2 tubes, the brush was not attached to the wand. I replace my mascara frequently due to sensitive eyes, but it seems I will have to find another brand to try.

Usually great, NOT impressed with this recent buy

This is usually my mascara of choice, however VERY unimpressed with this recent buy. Purchased 4 days ago... right from the first use, it's just dry clumpy garbage. Walmart's not doing anything for me because the package & receipt went straight to the garbage when home. I don't know if the mascara got frozen on the truck or something (live in Canada). As mentioned, usually my go to mascara, but super unimpressed with this last one.

bought this last week on high recommendations and was very disappointed. Came out of the tube dry and flaky. Thought maybe it had just been in the store too long but after reading other reviews I see that this is not uncommon. I do like the brush but unfortunately the product is not good.

I am a big fan of mascara and I've tried plenty. But lately I've been coming back to this one. My friends even got me to try the Tarte mascaras and I spent so much money on them without seeing good results. To me this mascara is perfect because gives lots of volume without looking messy and it doesn't transfer to your skin. It lasts all day, doesn't smell funny and the price is amazing. Give it a try!

I bought this mascara at my local target after hearing good reviews. As soon as I opened the product and applied it to my lashes all you could see was clumps, and soon after, the applicator fell of the wand. I didn't know if that was how all of them were so I bought another one. Again the same the happened. Very dissatisfied with this product, and will not be purchasing again.

I've used Maybelline mascaras for 8 years now and have never been more disappointed than I am with this mascara. I bought two, one for me and one for my mom and both of the tubes are dry to the bone! There is nothing on the wand at all. Totally waste of money. I'm changing to cover girl!

When purchased I found it to be dried out but was in the middle of a move and didn't return it. Then the brush broke and couldn't be put back together. I have used your mascaras for 35 years due to an allergy problem that I don't have with yours. I had to replace the item but was very upset with the product & went back to the other waterproof item.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I've used this type of mascara for years! And I've gotten so many compliments on my eyelashes. I've even been asked if they were fake eyelashes!

I bought this mascara wishing I got s better result then I have from others. Nothing works for me. I open it like a kid at the candy store only to find the brush is disgusting. It is so clumpy and goo like all over it. I can't return it now so let's hope it works :(

I just got this mascara, and I really like the length and volume it adds to my lashes. I just had to wipe off the excess on the side of the tube and on a tissue to prevent clumping, and more practice on the bottom lashes, though, and getting less messy. Overall, it's a really nice mascara!

I wouldn't say it makes lashes 16x the length, but it surely gives lash length. I like the color (glam brown), and it goes on pretty smoothly. Might buy it again, maybe a different Maybelline mascara. All in all, its a pretty okay mascara.

I am a diehard Maybelline mascara fan. This mascara definitely does look really good on, however, it dries out SO fast. I'd like to buy it again, but I don't know that I will when my other mascaras last far longer for the same price.

I like 'em THICK!

This has become my go-to for DRAMATIC lashes. Two, three coats (a little wiggle at the base) and no clumps. Loving the formula. Pairs PERFECTLY with Colossal Cat Eyes. Layering is the key to MORE DRAMA.

All Dried Up - Disappointing

I bought the first bottle at a Dollar Store. It was all dried up. Thought maybe it was old, had been on the shelf for a while, Maybelline is usually pretty good! However, when I bought a second bottle, still wanting to give it a try, it was dry!!!!

I love this mascara - it provides separation and volume very well! However, it doesn't seem to last very long and dries out quickly.

Q: No brush wiper??!!1st purchase of p/up colossal waterproof black. love brush design but was not able to apply, mascara to heavy on brush. upon inspection there was no brush wiper in the tube! Is this mascara, not supposed to have a brush wiper inside????

Q: I tried this mascara a few months back and loved it! But since I ran I have not been able to find it in brown. I am very fair, and have light hair. I find black mascara much too harsh for my features. Does it no longer come in brown?
