Great color, long lasting. I was very disappointed when I got home and opened up the single color shadow and didn't have an applicator! What's up with that? I have to go back to the store and purchase an applicator!

In our effort to streamline our packaging to keep it as compact as possible, we have transitioned away from including mini applicators in our single shadows, as we found many beauty lovers prefer utilizing their own personal brush collections for their looks. As a quick tip for the future or when you are on the go without a brush, you can actually use the pad of your ring finger to gently press and sweep the shadow across your lids. The natural warmth of your fingertip helps to beautifully melt the pigments, giving you an incredibly smooth blend and a rich, high-impact color payoff instantly.

I got duped.

I have been buying Maybelline for decades and wanted a single color eyeshadow. I bought the Glo Down and boy was I disappointed! Not only is the color too light for lids but the applicator is missing! I thought it was a manufacturing error until I see the company cheaped out. No way am I going to use my finger. And I will look for a different company from now on. This was a waste of money.

BAD decision, Mabeliine goes CHEAP on APPLICATORS!

This is the 2nd time I have bought 2 of the single color eye shadows. Once again I see no applicator included. So is Maybelline now cheaping out by not including one? The 1st time I thought it may have been a quality control issued. But now reading the other comments on this subject, I see it was a choice made by the company. Needless to say I had to buy applicators to apply with. This nonsense of applying with your finger is ridiculous!!! Would you suggest that a Professional Make Up Artist apply eyeshadow with their fingers? I wouldn't think so! SO JUST MAYBE, the company needs to rethink this decision! Especially with all the negative feedback on the subject! Looks like next time I need eye shadow I will be looking at the companies that STILL provide the applicator for the customer.
By the way I have been a loyal customer of Maybellines products since the 70's, but no more!

NO APPLICATOR!!!!!!!! AND IT DOESN'T TELL YOU??? WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO PUT THIS ON WITH MY FINGERS??? REDUCE WASTE? YOU STILL HAVE A WHOLE PACKAGE TO THROW AWAY WHEN I AM DONE. THE APPLICATOR WAS THE LEAST OF YOUR ENVIROMENTAL WORRIES.
AND BRING BACK SILKEN TAUPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'VE USE THIS PRODUCT 25 YEARS!

No Applicator

Second time I have bought 3 different colors of eyeshadow with NO applicator I thought the first time was just a defect by the applicator not being in there I wished I would have come here sooner as I would have known you decided to take it out I would have not bought from maybelline again! Price is no different without the applicator

NO APPLICATOR in order to "protect the planet." What is the point of selling this since there is no way to apply it? Daa. I guess you don't care if people can use this or not. Just sell them something and they can throw it in the trash unused. How does that protect the planet? (Further, it is not disclosed there is no applicator). I have used this product for many years. Too bad you killed it.

No applicator!

The product is great. I love the Tastefully Taupe color. It deserves 5 stars. However, I gave 2 stars because Maybelline made a poor business decision to not include the applicator now. I, too, thought this was a manufacturer mistake until I read the reviews here. Please bring back the applicator. It also looks ridiculous to have an empty compartment where the applicator is supposed to be.

I will NEVER purchase Maybelline eye shadow again. I have worn this eyeshadow for a VERY long time (I am 70) so imagine my surprise when I bought two new eyeshadows FULLY expecting the same product and neither having an applicator. Had this been noted on the product I NEVER would have purchased these eyeshadows. I feel duped! Shame on Maybelline for not being transparent about this change.

I’ve been buying Maybelline’s seashell eyeshadow for years with the applicator always being included. I just opened my new eyeshadow that was factory sealed with the same appearance in packaging as it always does with no label to indicate anything has changed and when I opened the lid there was no applicator! I thought maybe that it was just an accidental error, but come to find out after reviewing the ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ section of Maybelline’s website that they are no longer including the applicator! Maybelline, if you are making a change to your products, then you need to either (1) change your packaging for that specific product so that consumers know that everything that used to be included is no longer included or (2) put a label on the item saying ‘applicator’ no longer included! Highly disappointed and will be looking at new brands of eyeshadow for all of my makeup products from now on!

- A: I have problems finding several of the individual eye shadow colors in local stores .. the forest green; the linen; the rose colors... ( I have green eyes ..).I prefer buying individual colors rather than a palette of several containing some I will never wear... Who decides what the store stocks? Is it the store managers or the Maybelline Rep setting the displays up? Please inform them we seem want ALL the shades you offer and in individual containers available to purchase in our local stores! ! Also, what happened to translucent loose powder?
