I purchased a mascara, and it's not like mold. Called Maybelline and they sent me a coupon, and requested I send them the mascara that stunk.
I did send them the mascara, and use the coupon to partially pay for a new mascara. This mascara smells worse than the last one. Not going to buy Maybelline anymore, as mascara should never have a smell.
As I write this review, my eyelashes stink and I have concerns about how it will affect my eyes.
I want my $12.99 back, and I'm just tired of something as simple as buying mascara has turned into an ordeal for me.
I've been a Maybelline customer for decades, and I'm highly highly disappointed.

The applicator this product has makes it literally last all day and it gets every last making it look like I have fake lashes on and so many people compliment my eyelashes throughout the day and I'm like dang my lashes aren't even long

I absolutely adore this mascara!!! I got it a couple years ago for Christmas and I have not used another mascara since! I wear it to the beach all the time and it lasts all day even going in the water (it does smudge a bit but u can just rub it off with your finger)
Last week omw to work I had a road accident, and cried for about 15 mins while driving. I was scared id look a mess, but to my surprise, my mascara hadn't smudged at all!!
The only thing I'd say is that you need to find a good, consistent way of removing it as it can be a bit tricky.

This is the only mascara I will ever use. I’ve tried others and always come back to this. It holds a curl and never smudges. I can wear it 12+ hours at a horse show and it still looks great. Please don’t ever discontinue this or I will be lost.

Unlike the washable Lash Sensational, the waterproof version is clumpy. Unusable tube of mascara and I’m irritated that threw away the receipt (I wrongly assumed I could rely on Maybelline for mascara, as I often have).

This mascara genuinely is my holy grail, i love it so much- paired with sky high is absolutely gorgeous, and the mascara lasts so long on your lashes. I wore this on a 7 hour flight and it DID NOT SMUDGE. love love love this mascara
sorry, already made a review but wanted to add that i got this mascara in France in the summer for so so so cheap and it is only running a bit low now after a good hundred uses or something. I genuinely don't know what I'd do without this mascara as someone with very short lashes who is very insecure without mascara because it literally makes me look like i have lash extensions on !

Mascara is my favorite product in my makeup kit! The results of this mascara are incredible. Goes on super easy, fans eyelashes out evenly and balanced and adds the perfect amount of thicknesses. Brush has two different sides that you can use to apply and that gives you free range to play around with what look works best for you! Glad I took the chance on trying a new mascara.

"Lash-sensational" is not an understatement for this little gem of an item, that was initially bought by accident at a CVS during a trip with my friend, but somehow ended up in my hands --with which I am extremely grateful. This mascara survived my nonstop sobbing fest I had when my cat passed away, still made my eyes appear "normal" after a mental breakdown at a party, and also survived the hangover afterwards. 10/10 product. Thank you for making me look beautiful even during my less-than-beautiful moments.

I have used Great Lash for years but thought I would try something different. This is awful. The mascara is clumpy and the brush is way too big. I’ve used it for a couple of days trying to get used to it, but every day the mascara just gets worse. Very disappointed.

The worst!

This is probably some of the worst mascara that I've ever bought. It clumps horribly. Then, throughout the day, the clumps fall into my eyes and stick to my contacts. It goes on extremely thick and looks ridiculous. I had been using The Falsies Lash Lift and was much happier. I just thought I'd try something different.

Disappointing

I first bought the non waterproof because my store was out of waterproof. Loved that product so I figured I'd love the waterproof. WRONG!! It is very wet, clumpy and doesn't separate my lashes. I have short, thin, blonde lashes and this waterproof was not good for them. The only thing is that is good for me is that it does pass the waterproof test but if I get any on my skin, it's very hard to wipe off.

Remarkable staying power

Hello! I would love to commend this product not only for its beautiful lash separation and dark pigment, but for how resilient it is once applied. You see, I happened to buy this mascara the week before I broke up with my long term boyfriend, got quarantined unexpectedly for four months (without my car or personal belongings which were all still back at school when my university shut down), found out my college graduation was cancelled, had to choose a grad school without getting to visit first due to covid-19 closures, watched the movie Onward for the first time, and didn’t get to say goodbye to any of my school friends who were graduating this May. All in all, there were a lot of tears that week. And yet, if I may say so, my eyelashes were stunning. I have very short and straight eyelashes, but the formula of this mascara made my eyelashes look surprisingly long and thick. It never smeared, budged, or wavered in its commitment to my eyelashes. thanks, Maybelline, for making my eyelashes look good even when my life is in shambles.

I was very excited to try this mascara because I'd seen and heard great things about it and it sounded like it was suppose to do everything I wanted, however, this was not the case. The mascara was hard to apply as the applicator is super tricky to work without turning your lashes into a clumpy mess and was a lot of work to make it look like the full fan effect as it has advertised. The only good thing about it is it holds its curl well and is long lasting.

I usually use this mascara, the washable one. I accidentally bought the waterproof one since the packaging looks the exact same. This mascara was HORRIBLE TO GET OFF. First, I noticed it was flaking much worse than the other one. My eye lashes also looked really chunky and web like. Upon getting home to remove my make up I was so shocked on why it wasn’t coming off. Figuring out shortly after I must have bought the wrong one. 8 cleanses later I still couldn’t get it all off. I tried soap, my cleanser, canola oil and hemp oil. NOTHING would take this off. Sitting here with burned, raw eyes that still have mascara on them. I get “waterproof” but seriously this is a joke. Make something that is easily removes. The worst part is as I was trying to get it off I saw some of my eyelashes falling out straight from the root. I take great care of my lashes so this is sad to me. Never will I wear any mascara from maybelline again. Not worth losing my eyelashes over.

Definitely A New Favorite!

This mascara has a wand that has different lengths and curled, making it super easy to get to the root of the lash and get a good base, with the long bristles it makes it easy to separate each lash, making my lashes look super fanned out and curled. I'm so amazed with the product I bought two backups immediately. This isn't really a voluminous mascara, so I put on two coats of primer before I use this, but after two coats of this, I'm good. Makes my lashes look super awesome! I don't mind the clumpy formula, the clumps do flake off! It is really quick to dry, so I try to layer it up fast. The only reason why it isn't four stars is because of that. But I love it after a month in of using it!

The brush makes the lashes bigger and doesn't stuck then together. I am using it for years, all of my girls too. Its easy for taking off and most important thing it doesn't make irritation on my eyes ( from some products I get itchy eyes )

This mascara is amazing. I have had a really tough week and my dad brought me this mascara yesterday. I tried it on today just to see how it would apply on my lashes, and it was beautiful. A few hours later I had a bit of a nervous break down and that can get pretty messy. Well to my surprise, there was only one tiny smudge. This mascara has withstand my ugly crying. Definitely going to buy again!!!

Clumpy, Impossible to Remove, and Harsh on Eyelash

I got this mascara recently because it had good reviews on google. After using it I was really disappointed for a few reasons. I am lucky to have naturally long lashes, so mascara definitely adds a lot of “wow” to my look. This mascara, however, makes me look like a clown. The formula clumps 5-8 lashes together to give me a spidery eye look. Even using my fingers I can’t separate them! Even worse, it doesn’t come off at all. So I accepted this and gave it a fair shot by trying it a few times. Just today in the shower a big clump of lashes came out. Maybe this product works well for some people, but it just doesn’t work for me. I need something that will coat each lash individually rather than clump them together to give the illusion of volume. The picture is DAY 3 of unsuccessfully removing the mascara.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Formula change? Impossible to remove even with oil

I absolutely love the Lash Sensational Mascara that is NOT waterproof, it gives me both length, volume, and curl. My eyes are very small so false lashes are not an option, ya girl has to work with what she has. This formula is ok, it is FOR SURE waterproof. Like if you want to swim with mascara, by all means choose this. It doesn't separate my lashes as well as the non-waterproof version. I feel like even with oil my lashes fall out because I am scrubbing them so hard to get this off, but it ultimately ends up under my eyes.

Boo-hoo ... it's clumpy!

Purchased this mascara last weekend at Walmart. Ugh ... it is thick and clumpy. Will try to get a refund at the store.

Too clumpy :/

I am a huge fan of Maybelline and their products, specifically their mascara, but unfortunately I do not recommend this mascara at all. It is very clumpy even with the serum, and it leaves a gooey residue on the lashes even after makeup remover and showers. This product tends to clump the lashes into one big group and it transfers very easily :( although the color is very pigmented and more long lasting than other, the cons outweigh the pros for me.
