Natural Makeup Look Tutorial - Maybelline

Maybe the only people who ever rolled out of bed looking flawless were our favorite princesses from the movies, and they had the help of all those birds and mice. In real life, looking like you need no makeup is the result of putting on some makeup. Even the most subtle, “natural” look is the result of a few strategic makeup products and some know-how.  After all, makeup is an art form. Below, we break down how to master a natural makeup look, glowing skin and defined features with Camila Bravo. Only 7 simple steps necessary!

  1. NATURAL MAKEUP LOOK STEP #1: CREATE A BASE

Apply a bb cream that matches your skin tone to instantly brighten and beautify your skin. Blend in with a damp makeup sponge for a dewy finish. If you opt for a bb cream with hydrating properties, it can be worn without a moisturizer!

  2. NATURAL MAKEUP LOOK STEP #2: BRIGHTEN & ILLUMINATE UNDER-EYE AREA & T-ZONE

Apply a lightweight concealer, like Instant Age Rewind concealer, under the eyes, at the outer corners of eyes and along the bridge of nose, extending up to the center of forehead. Choose a concealer shade that’s two shades lighter than your foundation/bb cream match for the best brightening and luminous effect. Blend in an outward motion.

  3. NATURAL MAKEUP LOOK STEP #3: SET YOUR FACE MAKEUP

Apply a mattifying powder to the forehead, nose, cheeks and chin to set makeup and absorb excess oil for long-lasting shine control. Whisk away any excess powder with a cotton ball or powder brush.

  4. NATURAL MAKEUP LOOK STEP #4: HIGHLIGHT HIGH POINTS OF FACE

Whisk a subtle, light-catching highlighter, like FaceStudio Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter Makeup, along the tops of cheekbones and brow bones with a slim tapered brush. ‘Molten Gold’ flatters all skin tones, leaving a reflective finish for brilliant glowing skin.

  5. NATURAL MAKEUP LOOK STEP #5: DUST COLOR ONTO CHEEKS

Blend a pink-toned blush into the apples of cheeks, extending up and out along the cheekbone for a noticeable, yet natural looking flush.

  6. NATURAL MAKEUP LOOK STEP #6: ADD DEFINITION

Gently contour your features by applying bronzer into the hollows of the cheeks, extending up and out towards ears. Blend for a naturally radiant, sun-kissed look.

  7. NATURAL MAKEUP LOOK STEP #7: DEFINE & FILL IN LIPS

Line lips with a nude lip liner like Color Sensational Shaping Lip Liner in ‘Nude Whisper’. Start by defining a cupid’s bow. Simply draw an x at the top center of lips. Then outline outer lips and contour the inside. Finish by filling in lips with a creamy nude lipstick like 'Naked Dare'.
