Not as good

I loved the Tattoo Studio Brow Pomade. I had one that was getting old and not going on as smooth so I figured it was time for a new one. Well, the new one is worse than the one I had! I don't know if the formula has changed or what but it isn't smooth at all and goes on very stiff and blotchy. I even tried scraping off the top layer and getting to fresher material underneath, but it was the same. Don't know if I just got a bad batch or that's just how it is now, but it's pretty expensive to be playing trial and error with. This just isn't as good as it used to be.
No, I do not recommend this product.

TERRIBLE. Don't waste your money.

HORRIBLE! Whoever designed this should be fired and, whatever group approved this awful product should join them.
The opening in the product pot is too small for the swirled brush part to fit, so you cannot swipe and coat the full length of the brush. This results in clumpy bits on the top 1/4" of the brush and is essentially useless to coat your brows effectively.
The other side with the little paintbrush looking end is nice for lining, but when only half of the applicator works it's a waste of money.
To add insult to injury, the applicator comes in a thin cellophane sleeve instead of having a protective plastic cap on each end. This is NOT how an applicator should be packaged and encourages dust and bacteria to accumulate.
I have used and loved Maybelline products for over a decade, but they just keep getting worse and worse. I am done after this one.

New formula ruined it for me; too blotchy.

I honestly use to love this, but the formula seemed to very obviously change and it is not working for me. It seems to grab to my hairs but not to my skin, and as someone who buys this because her brows aren't full, it really sucks. It ends up looking blotchy and its hard to keep a clean line. If you like your brows really dark and unblended, this might work for you. For me it a no go.

However, to ensure the best results, we recommend gently turning the pencil three or four times, without applying excess pressure. Switched to this brand, its only been a week and my brows are literally thinning. I remove with oil nightly. Sadly I threw away the box and Target is strict about refunds and no packaging. Ugh!

Love this stuff. Easy to apply although I would suggest putting a drop of water in the jar every now and then. It makes it a little clay-like and even easier to apply. So many colors to choose from. I bought ash brown and it’s spot on for my brows.

It is great product, but I am really sad I can’t buy just the brush. It is the best brush I’ve ever used and I lose it very often so every time I have to buy whole new product even the last one is almost full.

Where’s the black-brown?

This product is one of the best for my skin and eyebrows, especially since I have pretty unruly eyebrows that need more taming. Plus the color doesn’t smear or smudge and I got the product to last roughly 9 months with nearly daily use. But now the black brown color (pretty much the only color us Black women can use ) is out of stock everywhere with no ETA. What gives? The lighter colors DO NOT WORK. Help. This is a great product otherwise.

I love this product, but there is no black color! Black girls come in shades and we need BLACK pomade! The dark brown 382 isn't deep enough! I think Maybelline knows this & doesn't care. The product is good, but please add a black shade for black girls with black hair & eyebrows! Dark brown isn't enough to cover everyone!

The angled brush makes it so easy to feather, define, or fill in. The round brush blends so there are no funny lines on your skin. So much easier than trying to do that with a pencil. It stays all day and does not smear. My luck is that when I find something, they discontinue it so I'm getting a couple of back ups. I like the blonde. It is more of a very light brown.

Made my hairs fall out

Maybe I’m the unlucky one. But after using for 2 months I have notice more and more hairs in the brush and in cream and my brows are NOT as full as they used to be. I’m now not using it and have started a brow serum to correct the damage. Just be careful and watch our brows for thinning and hair loss!

I work in the dental field and due to COVID the only part of my face that my patients can see is my eyes. I was super stoked when I read that this product was smudge proof and lasts 24 hours. However, I've found that the with the combination of my oily skin and usage of safety goggles the product does not stay on. After a couple of hours my brows are looking patchy and I either have to refill them or wipe the remaining product off. Application is simple enough, but I was hoping for a reliable product that would keep my brows on point all day, especially since the rest of my face is covered with PPE.

OMG!!! This product is unbelievable! I have to put in my brows since i was a teen. I had a product i used since the 80's. It was hard to get a good color. I was ash brown. Now my hair is white/blond...grey came in white...with still a very few brown. This Tattoo studio in soft brown is absolutely PERFECT. Im so pleased! It doesn't take ALL DAY to put it on. Touch ups are super fast. Maybelline...you hit this one! As my son would say, "Dude Mom! This is DOPE! I LOVE IT! i hope this product stays around for the next 30 years at the very least! Thank you thank you!!!

This used to be my go-to brow makeup because it was affordable my budget, easily accessible (Walmart), and worked really well . I would apply in the morning and it stayed all day. I would recommend for anyone looking for affordable and long lasting brow pomades.

Its perfect for my brows. It gives the brows a natural effect. It comes w a spoolie which makes the work much easier. If youre a beginner, I wouldnt advise you to go for it because its a bit difficult to apply, but if youre confident then please go ahead, its a really nice product!

This is my new favorite brow pomade. I'm always switching what I use but this one stays on all day! I have basically nonexistent eyebrows so this gets used everyday. It's super easy to use. The brush isn't my favorite but I just buy that separately.

Q: Why did the company change the formula for the Tattoo pomade? It is flammable and doesn’t work as well you cannot layer it. It’s terrible !!!

Q: i love the brow pomade as it does last all day.. but 2 things... the lightest brown tends to get black tones and the secont thing is... i have a hard time cleaning the brush so I can use it the next day and stlill get a sharp line...
