Hyper Easy Brush Tip Liner

I thought I finally found the right eyeliner. I liked everything about it, until it started dripping from the little holes below the brush. it stained my fingers and counter.
The liquid becomes like plastic when it dries, it is hard to remove it.
The brush hairs separate making it very difficult to make a straight line.
After researching about it online, I found out that many ladies have had the same complaints about it for about 4 years, but nothing has been done. I am so disappointed with Maybelline.

This is a total New York nightmare, and we hear your frustration loud and clear! It is beyond disappointing when you think you’ve finally found "the one," only to have it literally leak all over your hands and counter—that kind of mess is definitely not what we mean by "making it happen." Between the applicator "exploding," the brush hairs fraying into a jagged mess, and a formula that turns into stubborn "plastic" that refuses to budge at the end of the night, it sounds like this liner failed you at every single turn. We know your time is precious, and struggling with a tool that hasn't evolved to meet your needs is the ultimate letdown.

Just purchased this yesterday for the first time and it sucks. No matter how much I shook it it just won't give me a dark solid line. It's almost like it's old and almost empty or something.

Drips and stains!

I'll start by saying that I love the way this liner applies HOWEVER it drips and has ruined 2 shirts. I thought the first time was a fluke until it happened again today. Oh, and I can't get the stain out of my brand new white shirt that it dripped on the very first time wearing it.

It works and stays, but for the past two eyeliners I've bought excess always flows down the tip and gets all over me. I don't know if it's caused by a leak or what, but it makes a terrible mess and difficult to get out of your clothes.

Stays long time, however some quality problems

This eyeliner is good, dries fast, and it really stays. I have hooded eyes and I sometimes get a little transfer to my eye lid. However, they seem to be having problems with quality lately. I was applying eye liner and a blob of it came out. It made my entire eye black, inside and out. I looked like a raccoon. Had to remove makeup and start all over again. It has happened twice. I captured it on a picture

Looks dried out

Upon opening and applying it looks like an eyeliner that has began running out of ink. Trying to overlap missed areas causes the already applied eyeliner to be wiped off. On the bright side doesn’t smudge easy. I will not be buying this again however.

Terrible applicator brush

This is the worst eyeliner I've ever purchased. Little bristles immediately popped up out of the brush making it impossible to apply a neat line. I've never had that happen before. Unfortunately, I had bought it just before leaving on a trip and threw it in my makeup kit. I didn't have time to replace it while traveling and had to keep trying to use it. I could only make a messy line then use qtips to try to repair it. Awful

hit or miss on if it works or not

the eyeliner has a good color pay off and is easy to apply but that’s only when you don’t get a dry product. sometimes you open it brand new, shake it to oblivion, and nothing will come out. i just bought one 20 minutes ago and it just doesn’t work at all, if it does put out color it’s full grey.

Product won’t flow.

The first three days I used this, it was amazing. The color was intense and glided on smoothly. Since then, I can’t get the color to come out through the brush. The cap has been on tightly. I’ve shaken it and can hear a little bead inside but I can’t get the product to flow. What am I doing wrong?

Finally found perfect liner but cannot use because

I absolutely loved this eyeliner the first few times I used it. But suddenly, the bristles on the became so messed up from putting the cap on, I couldn’t use it anymore? I thought it was a fluke and purchased another one. The same thing happened. I’ve purchased about 20 eyeliner pens and finally found the one I loved. Then I couldn’t use it because of the cap messing up the tip of the pen. Very disappointed. I wish they could fix this flaw in, it would be the best ever :(

The eye pen glides super smooth and the pigment is definitely there but it’s not my preferred eyeliner compared to what I’ve used in the past. I’m also not a fan of the brown.

I know this may sound strange but, I used this as a medium for coloring as you can see in the picture that I etheir circled or put a arrow point out where I used it. I like the fact that it does not make a mess everywhere and does not drip etheir. There is nothing to dislike about this product. I would totally recommend this to everyone.

I'll be the first to admit I'm not a big eyeliner person but this stick glided so smooth and that helped create a straight line that I normally have trouble with. It has a brush tip which seems to aid the application and glides easily. I would buy this.

I love this eyeliner. I been into brown eyeliner for a while now. I was so happy that Influenster sent me the Maybelline eyeliner in brown. I have been using the benefit eyeliner in brown but I like this Maybelline brown eyeliner more. This has a fine tip and make beautiful smooth lines, it’s super easy to use and it’s a dark brown. I have been using it a lot and still hasn’t dried out. Sleek packaging and very comfortable to hold. I will definitely repurchase.

It’s almost impossible to see on the packaging that this is .0018 fluid ounces! Or is it 0.018 fluid ounces?? either way it’s kind of a rip off and a waste of plastic especially since people are complaining about it drying out and the top not working, right. I noticed that the Maybelline ultra liner is .25 fluid ounces so that's like 15x more for a cheaper price. Also what’s up with not being able to find the size on the website? Disappointing

Terrible; the cap makes it essentially single use.

The one time I was able to use this eyeliner, it was great; easy to apply and lasted throughout the evening. Then, the unthinkable happened: I put it in my purse. The cap popped off and a couple of days later the tip was completely dry. Absolutely nothing I did could revive it; it stayed unusable after several attempts to free/loosen the eyeliner.
Hoping that this was a fluke, I bought a second one (yeah, I know) and put it in a more secure compartment. The exact same thing happened. I've never had this problem with a liquid pen before.
Avoid this one, unless you plan to never leave the house with it under any circumstances.

It's a great eyeliner!! Great shape, love the brush tip, grip, super smooth, stays on all day, my only complaint is that I'm a huge fan of brown eyeliner, and it feels closer to black than brown. It was very very dark for a brown and I was looking for a browner brown. If you love true browns, don't get this! If you like darker eyeliners, this is for you!!

Don't waste your money!

I think that I would really like this product, IF the brush bristles didn't get hung up on anything, when replacing the cap, causing them to maintain a 90° angle, which poked my eyeball and left a scratch, AND IF it didn't dry out so quickly.

Good for Easy Tight Line Application Bad Leaks

I have always had a problem with eyeliners. I have deep-set hooded eyes. It is difficult for me to apply a nice thin line in a straight line without skips. The brush with this liner is really nice, most of the time. Sometimes, I noticed a little single strand of the brush, sticking straight out. I tried straightening which did not work. I ended up cutting the straggler strand off. Sometimes I still have to correct my thin line due to this problem. This eyeliner is kind of all-or-nothing liner. It will dry out and if you shake it just a little to get more liner liquid on the brush, or, apply the tiniest pressure to the side of the brush, you will get more than you bargained for. This liner leaks out the side and will fill the brush with a ridiculous amount of liquid liner. When this liner is not leaking, I like it. When it leaks, I really do not like it.

Might smudge on oily skin

I gave this eyeliner a try since it had amazing reviews and packing was super cute! I have oily eye lids so it didn’t last the full 8 hours but very minimal smudge if you do a cat eye!

I’m usually a snob when it comes to eyeliner but with prices going up, I decided to give this a try. The pencil is triangle shaped so it fits easily in my hand without slipping. The eyeliner glides right on with great precision. I have yet to slip and mess it up. It has a great pigment that lasts all day as well.

Q: Hi. I’ve been using this product for a while now and I love it but is it normal for it to leak. It will create a bubble under the brushes and when that pops color leaks everywhere. At first I thought maybe it was a bad product but it keeps happening.

Q: My experience with Hyper Easy sucked. It was dried out within 1 week. So disappointed I threw it away. I'm hoping it was just a bad batch. Are there coupons available to offset the cost if it underdelivers again? The black was a great color for a day or 2
