The powder is the thing

The pencil is so-so. I find it often crumbles, even with the most feathery of touches, and I end up having to clean up the crumbs. That powder, however, makes my brows look amazing and lasts all day, even when the rest of my makeup is dewy. The powder is easy to use, and I can fill in the fuller inside of the brow as well as the finer tail with the shape of the applicator.
Please do not discontinue this product!

Never any powder - in 6 purchases!

I have purchased at least 6 of these...I love the pencil side of this product, however, the powder has NEVER come out - even after shaking, and pumping it! Packaging is false advertising IMO, for I have never seen the amount, nor ANY, powder as pictured.

Holy grail

This is the only product I’ve ever loved using on my eyebrows. I’m a redhead so the shade Auburn is perfect for me. However, Maybelline appears to have discontinued the Auburn shade… I can find it on Amazon for $18, otherwise I can’t find my shade ANYWHERE. Now I’m in search of a new product with the correct shade for me. Makes me sad since I’ve always loved this product and have used it for a decade 😭😭

Defective powder

Second one in a row I buy with no powder. I thought the first one was just defective but seems to be a recurring issue. This is my go to for everyday and I have bought it several times and never had an issue until now. Pretty disappointed and afraid to buy a third one.

I was very disappointed with this product. I was looking for a replacement for the apparently discontinued Expert Eyes Pencil in light brown. The soft brown Express Duo was way too dark for my coloring, and the blonde was not much better. The waxy finish made me look as if I'm ready for Halloween. Please bring back the original red wooden pencil. It has been a staple forever; why discontinue a good thing?

Not a winner for me this time guys

Let me preface this was absolute adoration for the brand for 25 years. Hated the actual product and result. The color, the marketing of other users—what I wanted. What I got was chalk, wax, broken, stale, too firm or invisible if ya catch my drift.
Maybeline runs my lip games in vinyl ink, super stay anything, everything exceeds expectations. Not every product will be perfect for all of us. This entire product with the exception of color is garbage.
I have thick, unevenly distributed or groomed in asymmetrical pieces and it is very easy to go through a good brow product, but it’s a miss for me on less than “dollar and a quarter tree’s actually pretty solid standards.”
I reshape brows on seasons or autoimmune hat changes. I like a cool neutral ash brown or a taupe that’s warmer than not.

Nothing comes out

I purchased two maybelline eyebrow pencil. The tatto studio pen nothing comes out. I can do a straight line only, no brush strokes. I also purchased the Express Brow. No instructions for getting the pencil end out. I finally figured out o had to twist it but it’s so hard to turn I turned it with my teeth. Still very hard to turn. On the other end where the power is, I’ve pushed on it so many times and there is zero powder. Back to a different brand!

I love this brow pencil! I like it better than some much more expensive pencils I’ve tried. I draw it in with the pencil, then finish and soften with the powder. I’d give it 5 stars except there isn’t a good color for me. The blond is too light and the browns are too harsh. PLEASE!! For us older ladies proudly sporting gray locks, add a softer color. Taupe would be perfect!

The fact that you get both powder and pencil in one product is fascinating to me. It cuts down on the amount of time it takes me to do my eyebrows! The pigment for both sides is amazing and the pencil glides on so easily. Almost like it was butter.

I’ve been using eyebrow products for years, one of them being Maybelline, which I rely on heavily. This product was like using a pencil that was so thin. You didn’t know how to make it softer before putting it on. It looks like an application of gray or brown brick when I was done.

Where's the Powder?

Purchased this pencil because it said it had powder to fill in and blend. Used it about 3 times. I thought there was powder in the sponge tip because it moves like a pump but nothing comes out! Miss the old version, and what happened to Auburn?

I recently went to purchase my eyebrow duo which I have been using for years, and was so disappointed to see you no longer offer Auburn as a color choice. I tried blonde instead and the color just wasn’t right for me. Plus, the application is no where near as great as your previous version of this product. Especially the powder end. Please bring back your former product, and offer an auburn color for redheads.

I got this one when I was out of my original pencil brand & needed to save $. This one goes on ok. There was a learning curve for me bc of how the tip is shaped, the sponge end didn't really work as expected, I was disappointed the color was a tad too dark for me, & the pencil lacked a spoolie like my original brand. I'm still going to use it up bc I don't like to waste makeup but overall experience could have been better.

I had the same problem many others have had. The powder won't "load". And, yeah, I can contact Maybelline but I'm over here in Italy at the moment where I just bought this eyebrow pencil/powder so that's likely of no help. What a waste of money!

Hi there Jackster12! We wish you could see the results you were hoping for with the Express Brow 2-In-1 Eyebrow Pencil + Powder. Before you unscrew the side with the powder, swirl the pencil around. The powder is in the cap. When you unscrew the cap, the powder applicator will carry a small load of pigment to apply along the brow contour.

I have loved and used this product for years and years! I especially love the powdered end. But I bought 3 different packages and the powdered end never did prime or loaded the applicator sponge end. I had to return all three. I have had many compliments on my brows and even recently recommended the product to a friend (which I now regret). Please start making it the old way.

I've bought this product several times before and never had a problem until now. For some reason when I purchased the same pencil three different times recently nothing comes out of the powder side. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong and I'm getting very discouraged since I've wasted money and I really liked this product until now. I even took it apart and you can see there's no powder touching the sponge. Please help!

Pencil Tip has "weird" WEDGE shape

This is the 2nd time I purchased this Express Brow 2-In-1 Pencil and Powder & the pencil tip is NOT what is advertised on the packaging or website. The Pencil tip is a "weird" WEDGE shape. The website & product packaging shows the pencil tip being POINTED. I am still able to use the pencil & get the desired results but it's just odd

I returned the 1st Express Brow after 3 uses because the tip broke off and the mechanism would not crank the tip back up. I uses my 2nd Express Brow for 2 weeks and the same thing happened. NOT PLEASED because my brows were beautiful!

Q: Looked at brow filler products, one with powder, one with "fibers". Nowhere on package did I find any assurance these had been tested as safe around eyes. These fillers could easily migrate into (my) sensitive eyes. Did I miss something?

Q: Has anybody had their brow pencil color turn a reddish tone once applied? Mine keeps doing it and it was so embarrassing because I hadn't noticed it until I left my house and saw myself in the rearview mirror of my car. Original color was brown-black.
