Love it - but it is NOT sharpenable. Use and toss

I love this gel liner (deep onyx). Goes on smoothly and color is great. It says that it is 'sharpenable.' But how? There is no way to insert into an external device and there is no way to push up the gel stick. Not worth it. If I missed something, please tell me.

To clarify, the Tattoo Studio Automatic Gel Pencil is designed with a convenient twist-up mechanism; simply rotate the bottom of the pencil to dispense more of the gel stick. While the pencil itself is automatic and does not require a traditional sharpener, it does feature a built-in sharpener at the opposite end to help you maintain a precise, pointed tip for your signature look. Amazing LINER

This liner is a LIFESAVER!!! i have had a scar on the back of my head since I was 12. I had brain surgery and have always loved short hair styles but could never wear them because my scar showed. This actully covers the scar and LASTS all day. I can now have a hair style I have always wanted thanks to YOU!!!!!

Dried up, won't glide

Was very happy with this eyeliner, went ahead and bought another one. The brand new one was dried out and it won't even glide to use. Tried using it on my hand and on my makeup bag, still nothing. Can't believe I just wasted so much money on an eyeliner you can't even use properly

Buyer beware!

After the initial liner is used down to the pencil casing, there is absolutely no way to move the remaining product into place so you can use it. It is poorly designed and you have litterly thrown your money away if you purchase it again.

Our Expert Tools Dual Sharpener would be a great product to use. For best results, turn the pencil gently in the sharpener 3 or 4 times, being careful not to apply excess pressure. After sharpening, remove all shavings from the blade edge. Your sharpener should be replaced whenever the blade has dulled and is no longer giving the expected results. Makes my eyes burn, irritated and red. I love Maybelline eye makeup. In fact I have been using Maybelline products for many years and have never had a negative reaction except for this eyeliner.

Q: Did the Midnight mocha color replace the smokey grey? Every time I order the smokey grey they send me Midnight Mocha. The same with the smokey brown, they send me the Espressotini.

Q: I am having the same trouble with my gel liner in that it will not advance after twisting, etc. I really love this eyeliner and want it to work. Used to use Cover Girl but your eyeliner is so much better.

Q: I bought the Maybelline NY Tattoo Studio as well. Love it, however can't twist it, turn it, push it, nothing!! to get more of the liner! I would hope after what it cost, you can help with how to advance the liner If not I will never recommend this product

Q: Given that this product has a known defect, I would like to know why Maybelline has not removed it from store shelves so that people don’t keep buying it? When will the issue be corrected? I liked the liner but I won’t buy it again unless notified.
