Too dry

Product is very dry and crumbly. More powder is left on the palette then goes on my brush when trying to apply to the brush. After using I have to blow off excess left behind to keep colors from mixing. Only used a few times and then one of the colors broke.

Try on does not work

The palettes look lovely. When I attempted the virtual try on I was only allowed to move one light shade from any palette around to different areas of my eyes. So, I could not get any kind of accurate feel for how it would work for me. I am very interested in two of the palettes but not if I can't test them out first.

Allergic reaction!

I bought a The City mini (Cocoa city 550).
My skin showed bad allergic reactions to this.
Got red/ swollen around my eyes.
Just for your information.

Love for use, not for travel.

I love this pallet. The colors are highly pigmented and blend beautifully. My main problem is when I travelled with the pallet, it broke--not something I've had happen often. I lost 60% of one color, 30% of another, and, unfortunately, 100% of a third.
Note that the pallet does not give color names, making it incredibly hard to match the colors for replacement, especially since this pallet sells out often in my area.
100% recommend for those who have a consistent place to keep this pallet at home.

Been using these for years. My only question is, is there any way to find out what the shade code/names are for certain colors within the palette so I can try to find a bigger version of just one color on Maybelline’s website?? I always run out of one of the colors that I use most…

LOVE THE SHADES OF COLOR IN Skyccape .... BUT....

I Love the shades of color in the Skyscape Dusk Mini Palette, however, the formula is very powdery and the powder goes all over in the palette and on the face. Even after tapping the excess off, it still filters on the face. I don't recall having his problem in the past with Maybelline eyeshadows.

I have Skyscape Dusk and LOVE LOVE LOVE the shades and that they're all matte, which is nearly impossible to find. I wish I could purchase a larger palette or the shades individually.
I do experience severe fallout, even with applying with great care and recommended techniques. I've altered my routine and make sure to apply shadow before mascara and foundation.

The color is great The only thing I would suggest is that the powder is very loose when you use it and the colors seem to mix together when applying, if it was a little more compressed so it wouldn't spread the powder to the other colors when applying.

Matte about Town quality issue

I was so happy to find a matte palette. It's no simple feat to find one without shimmer, which bothers my eyes. I have had it a week. After only a couple uses, I noticed the second color from the left, the darker lid color on the bottom, had a crack in it that reminded me of how slate has layers. I went to use it this morning, and the entire pan of that color is in tiny pieces all over the rest of the palette. I couldn't blow the dust of the other colors without losing the rest of the dark color, which I love by the way, so I had to carefully move the dust off the lighter colors so I could use them. My makeup looks off today as I wasn't able to get completely clean swipes of the lighter colors. I am seriously disappointed in the durability of this fantastic matte option palette.

Matte About Town is a great palette! I love, love, love that there is absolutely no shades in it that have any shimmer. If we were able to customize it, I would make colors 1 and 6 half their size and increase colors 3 & 4.

I have six of these and I absolutely love them! I find all of them to be better than any so-called "high-end palettes " I have tried. Application and last is great, as well as pigments. I find the price point to be reasonable. My two fave go-to's are Rooftop Bronzes and Diamond District. Honestly you can't beat them. Maybelline don't discontinue them !!!

Use a primer

I own three of the mini palettes, and I love them. A matte purple, a shiny purple and gold, and a shiny green and goldy palette. I mix and match to my mood. They're powdery, so knock your brush off after dipping. If I'm using a liquid foundation, to avoid problems from fallout, I'll prime my skin, and then, do my eyes, followed by foundation and concealer if I'm using that! As long as you prime your lids, the color will last a good 12 hours. Not bad for a drug store shadow. Maybelline is killing it lately.

Can’t open this darn thing

Like the colors in the Chill Brunch neutrals, the colors don’t stick well without a primer BUT....my biggest issue with this is the packaging/product.....I CANNOT OPEN THE DARN THING. I need some thing...a eyeliner, or anything with a 90-degree edge to wedge in the crack to open the darn thing. A battle every morning and not worth it.
