Damaged lashes

I switched to this mascara after finding out the Illegal Length mascara has been discontinued and i am so disappointed. This mascara damaged my eyelashes. Illegal length mascara NEVER damaged my lashes. I am going to have to find another brand mascara now.

This mascara was given to me by my sister who loves it. Unfortunately, when I used it for the first time I had a nasty reaction to it. the next day my eye area was red, swollen, itching, and raw. Not sure what caused the reaction but I won't be using it again though I do like the color.

I have been using the Great lash royal blue for over 35 years. Actually started using it as a teenager. Couldn't find it for awhile and then started using it again when it came back. It was absolutely my only mascara. Recently I have discovered that I am allergic to the parabens it is made with. Will you Please Please add this color to your new GREEN EDITION line? I really do NOT want to change mascara. I have had severe eye problems for over a month now. I gave a two rating because of the parabens in the mascara. Otherwise I Love the color.

Would LOVE Midnight Blue to be Waterproof :)

Really like this product EXCEPT it doesn't come in waterproof. If it did, I'd REALLY L-O-V-E it and would be a definite 5 star product! I live in Florida where between heat and humidity, waterproof is needed. Been wearing this for about 25 years but sadly only use on cooler winter days which there aren't many. Maybelline, Pretty PLEASE consider :)

This has been my favorite mascara since the early 70's. The application is smooth and smudge proof. Because the Royal Blue is almost impossible to find in my city, I keep an extra one on hand.

Thank you for bringing back the best mascara ever! I've been wearing great lash total blue mascara since the 70s when I was in 6th grade! Had to buy some old stock online until I very happily found out it was back! Thank you thankyou Maybelline for rescuing me ! I am very fair with blonde hair blue eyes when I tried any other color including the brown mascara ,I look like a vampire! Thank God you listened to your customers ,please don't take it away from us very loyal customers ever again

I bought every bottle that I could find when you discontinued it several years ago. I have been wearing the royal blue mascarea since I was allowed to wear makeup. When it was discontinued, I did use NYX blue mascara and then Maybelline Snapscara blue. I found the pink and green bottle of royal blue Maybelline this morning and cried tears of joy. Thank you so very much for bringing it back! Please don't let it ever be discontinued again. There is a lot of us ladies that clearly love it.

Glad to see you've brought Royal Blue back - YEAH!! I'd been wearing that since I was in high school and that was in the 60's!! My eyes are very sensitive and Maybelline was the only eye makeup I could use. L'Oreal has since come out with Cobalt Blue and Almay did have a shade of blue as well. But the Royal Blue really POPS!!! and I've always had many compliments wearing it. Most gals are surprised when they first notice it [everyone I know wears black] and then they react with a gee that really looks nice. I must agree though that it would be nice to have it in one of the better mascara wands to plumb and lengthen.

I have been wearing your Royal Blue (or a blue by a different name) for a hundred years! I LOVE the color. I always have and I wear it quite a bit! What I don't like is the applicator. You have a bunch of different black 'colors' with different applicators but the Royal Blue has just a standard applicator. Why can't you give it a good, lash building applicator??? It takes several minutes to try and build the lashes but when I use one of your blacks (which I do also) it's done very quickly. Please consider making the Royal Blue applicator a better lash maker!!

I wore this in high school, out of school, in my 20s and on up. For a period of time the royal blue was discontinued, or extremely hard to find. Extremely happy Maybelline has continued this color in the Great Lash. This is the only mascara that does not irritate my eyes, particularly when I am wearing my contacts. Thank you Maybelline !!! I tried this color because they do not make the navy or midnight blue. This color is much to strong , if you are looking for a subtle masacra. I like the midnight, navy much better. hope that they will bring it back , made me look like a clown

I've used Great Lash on and off for years (especially love the waterproof formula), but only recently tried the royal blue version. I'd only ever tried one blue mascara before, but it was very clumpy and tacky. Great Lash is not. It is smooth and stays liquid for a long time. Does not clump nor flake. Sure, it's not the most voluminous mascara in the world, but since it's blue, I don't need my lashes to look insane anyhow. I love to use it when I need a quick pop of color on my face, but may not have time for an elaborate eyeshadow look, etc.

Disappointing Dismal Blue

I was hoping that this blue would be close to my all time favorite, Maybelline's old school Midnight Blue mascara....sadly no. It has been years and my search continues for that gorgeous midnight blue shade of yesteryear. Perhaps Maybelline would consider bring back that old school vibe and re-introduce their midnight blue. Hint...hint.

I have been using this royal blue mascara since I was 13 years old and I am now 58 when it was discontinued I was so upset I couldn't believe that something I've used for 45 years was gone I am so happy it was brought back I couldn't believe it when I found it at Cub,I bought two tubes just in case that would disappear again.I I always got compliments on my beautiful blue eyes when I added the blue mascara. And sometimes they thought that it was purple. So I would recommend this product to anybody that wants to have beautiful beautiful blue eyes.

I am so glad to see this royal blue mascara back in stock. I have used this mascara for years. When they discontinued it, I was highly disappointed. It took me a long time finding another brand that would give the same effect. I was close but the brush was not that good,so I tolerated it since the color was comproble. The effect of this mascara is like electric blue, it made my brown eyes pop, looking from the side of your eye, it’s purple. I’ve got so many compliments to my eyes with this mascara, I’m so excited this mascara is back, I love it so much and glad to have it back. Please don’t discontinue this color. Thank you!

I was SO SAD when Royal Blue Great Lash was discontinued...I wrote to Maybelline and asked them what they were thinking to do that?!?! (I've used Great Lash Royal Blue for over 25 years!!) I tried other brands/hues of blue and NOTHING compares...I was ECSTATIC when I saw that Royal Blue Great Lash Mascara is back in the game!! DON'T EVER DISCONTINUE THIS COLOR AGAIN, PLEASE!!!!

Makes a statement without overpowering eyes

I've been using maybelline blue mascaras since around 1972. I was a fair-skinned redhead and the dark brown and black mascaras were too harsh for my coloring. I've stockpiled this whenever I find it in a store, so I was concerned when I realized I was on my last tube. I didn't even know it had been discontinued, so I, thrilled to hear it will be back in distribution. I even purchased a tube of black this afternoon to experiment with. I think that will be passed along as soon as I get my hands on my blue mascara. Thank you maybelline and the many folks who have been rallying for the return of a true classic. Cult or not. I want my maybelline! Thank you

I begged and begged maybelline to bring this color back, they said no, to try NYX, tried it, didn't care for it. ...found something tolerable, now I'm esstatic!!! My fave!!! I'm 55 years old and have been wearing only royal blue all this time. ...I was deeply devistated when it was gone....people comment on my eyelashes at LEAST once a day everyday! !! Now I can boast about maybelline again!!!! Thank you maybelline! !! I love you! !!!

This is a great mascara! It was very good quality and I loved the brush and it applied to my lashes very good. It is a long lasting mascara and doesn't run at all! The packaging was very neat and clean! I'm not sure I would buy this again just because I'm not a huge fan of blue mascara but if you're into that this is a great mascara!

This mascara was amazing and I loved the pop that the blue gave. It is definitely a mascara you want when you are out on the town and it definitely leaves your eyelashes looking voluminous. I would recommend for sure!

It adds a nice pop of color to any colored eyes. I've used it a few times to give it a fair shot, and it's a good mascara to play with. The formula could be better because it takes me a few minutes to get the full pigment, but it isn't awful. It will be great to use in any fun summer looks!

This mascara did me wonders. It's even better than the high end products! I love the length if gave my lashes. I love that it's blue. It's unique. I did receive this product complimentary for testing purposes, but all opinions are my own. It's way too amazing to not buy.

Love this mascara! The pop of blue is beautiful and unique, and the mascara has the same great tried-and-true formula as the original Great Lash mascara. Although I definitely don't see myself wearing royal blue mascara every day, it's great for when I want a pop of color in my makeup.

Q: years ago you could buy the great lash in waterproof and in royal blue as a teenager i wore it every day and it was waterproof i cried alot so had to have something that held up but was pretty for my eyes and this was the one and only,waterproof come back

Q: I would like to know why Midnight Blue mascara was discontinued, also. The color was beautiful and I haven't found a match for it yet. But I will keep looking! Anyone want to point me in the right direction?

- A: I too have had a hard time finding a navy or midnight blue masacra. that I had been using for years. the one tht is offered on this web site is a bit expensive , I have not tried it, and really dont want to spend $14 for mascara .I wish that enough of us complaine they will bring it back . Ultra does offer a navy and I like it alot. its waterproof as well . apprx $6-87 years agoHelpful?
