Rated 1 out of 5 by JBBBBBB from Mess. Did ANYONE test the design of this compact? I opened one side. Both sides opened. One side has a powder puff. The other was a little stack of LOOSE powder. Using it spread the stack EVERYWHERE, not just in the compact. DO NOT put this in your purse. You will have powder on everything forever. Just who designed this? POOR engineering/testing.

It doesn't feel or look cakey. I also have slept and sweat in it and haven't broken out. I have extremely oily skin and I do get shiny after a little while in this powder, but it's easily fixable with blotting paper or even toilet paper. Even if I blot with toilet paper, the product still stays on the skin. I do wish there was a shade lighter than 03; I'm very fair and 03 is a tad too dark.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SueW from Excellent Coverage! I have normal/dry, mature skin and wanted to try a powder foundation as it is more lightweight to wear during the summer. After perusing some "high end" choices and being underwhelmed by them, I came back to Maybelline. Most of my favorite foundations are Maybelline so it seemed like a logical choice. I know the Dream Wonder powder is not technically a "foundation" but it should be marketed as one. The coverage is awesome and goes on smoothly. It looks like I'm wearing a smooth foundation but it is so lightweight it doesn't feel like I'm wearing one. I love the soft, velvety texture! The finish is quite matte but I use a few tricks to soften the final look. After applying my moisturizer and facial sunscreen, I then apply a primer that's actually a setting spray. I pump a few sprays onto a dampened beauty sponge and press it into my skin. This really helps diminish pores and fine lines. After it dries I then apply my Fit Me concealer where needed, then the Dream Wonder powder. I use a flat top foundation brush and buff in a circular motion to blend. After applying the rest of my makeup, I finish with a dewy setting spray. The final look is satiny, almost airbrushed. Very pleased with this powder!

The first time I bought this product, it lasted all but 9 days before breaking apart into a powdery mess in my makeup bag. 2nd one had a hair line crack on it that I didn't notice when I bought it - that one eventually became a powdery mess. Bought the 3rd one on Saturday and you guessed it.....broke again! The unbelievable part is that it crumbled up by me using my kabuki brush. And now reading the reviews I realize that this is definitely a Maybelline issue. C'mon fix this issue, there are far too many complaints about the same thing. The powder is great when it doesn't break, the color is perfect for me (Sun Beige #85) but at this rate I'm going broke having to buy a new one every couple of weeks. I urge Maybelline to look into this once and for all.

Is it being discontinued? Also, noticed that Target does not carry Maybeline products at all. I was very surprised to see that.

I went ahead and bought a second time and all went well. Until yesterday When I purchased the same shade I been using all along (50) I opened it and noticed that this time it has a shimmer. The past two times I bought it, it didn’t have a shimmer look. Is it because it is now a new ingredient?

After buying for first time and using it, I received more compliments about how my makeup looked... it was odd that this kept happening after I started using this particular product. I am very fair skinned, so I use Ivory color and it is so smooth, creamy and goes on like a dream.
