Stuck at home, staring at your au-naturale brows in dismay? Same here. But put those tweezers away, no matter how much they might seem like the answer! All it takes is one whoopsie! move and you're locked in an escalating plucking session that might leave your brows bare, bald or just plain bad. The solution? Makeup, of course!
Here, Maybelline makeup artist Jenna Kristina shows us how to confidently and correctly shape your brows into the arch of your dreams with a few strategic products.
"Before you fill in the brow, first use your Brow Ultra Slim Defining Eyebrow Pencil to gauge and lightly mark the shape of your desired brow. Think of it as sectioning your brows into three parts. Start by pressing the pencil up against your nose, pointing upwards. Next, place your pencil in front of the outer end of your iris, which is where the highest point of your brow should be. After that, your brow starts to turn down, taper and thin out. Place the pencil at your outer nostril at around a 45-degree angle to see where your brow should naturally end, to create the perfect shape."
"Take the Brow Ultra Slim Defining Eyebrow Pencil and use the spoolie side to brush brow hairs in an upward motion."
"Apply your brow pencil in fine, hair like strokes, starting at the base of the brow, lifting upwards. After the arch, start drawing the hairs in a 90-degree angle out toward your hairline above the ear."
"Use Brow Fast Sculpt Gel-Mascara to brush hairs upward for firm hold, all day. Pro-Tip: When shaping brows, I tend to use darker colors on those who have finer brow hairs to give the look of natural fluffy brows."
