Colored eyeliner is a wild and wonderful world, not to be taken too seriously. It’s fun makeup that’s meant to be noticed and appreciated. Pair with matching colorful mascara for a major look, or with black or brown mascara for something more subdued.
The beauty of colored eyeliner is that a little goes a long way—even a tiny little slash of color along the upper and/or lower rims of lashes adds a real edge to classic looks. Wilder cat eyes or smoky eyes done in colors looks great but can read a bit ‘80s—which isn’t a bad thing. You can also line your eyes with classic brown or black as you would normally, then layer a bit of colored liner just at the inner or outer corners of the eye for a balance of definition and color.
