6 Summer Makeup Looks

While having fun in the summer sun, remember that just a bit of soft summer makeup goes a long way! Make-up artist Jaleesa Jaikaran shows us how to do a more natural winged liner using a flattering brown eyeliner infused with Argan Oil and a full volume brown mascara. Jaleesa says:
Start by creating a line with Hyper Easy No-Slip Pencil Eyeliner from the outer corner of the lash line towards the brow. Line the upper lash line, then connect by drawing a line from the top of the line to the lash line. To create a matching lash look, use Maybelline New York’s Sky High Mascara in True Brown. Finish the eyes using Ultra Slim Brow to fill in the brows. Keep the skin simple by using Fit me Foundation, Concealer & Powder for a smooth finish.

It’s all about defined and sculped eyebrows this summer, so we asked makeup artist David Lopez to show us how he gets that perfect look using our ultra-fine eyebrow pencil and gel brow mascara. David says:
Start by filling in the brows with short hair-like strokes using Maybelline Express Brow Ultra Slim Pencil. We want the brows to be sculpted and defined but still soft with a fluffy feel, so I’m using Black Brown for a softer finish. I added sporadic strokes in shade Black for a more dimensional feel. I wanted a slightly bolder finish, so I finished the brows with the Brow Fast Sculpt in shade Deep Brown. Bold Brows pair perfectly with a soft Bronzy Eye, so I used all the City Bronzer shades to create a bronzed smokey finish and topped with Maybelline New York’s Sky High Mascara in Brown for a monochromatic feel.
*David’s Pro Tip: For a more natural shape that slightly lifts the outer corners of the eyes, extend the tail of the brow above where your natural brow finishes for a more angular lifted effect.

Is your light summer makeup glowing? Glowy skin is IN this summer. We asked makeup artist David Lopez to show us how he gets the perfect glow with a bronzing and contouring powder and glow makeup that’s a primer, concealer, highlighter, and BB cream all-in-one. David says:
For Complexion, I used three shades of Maybelline New York’s Instant Age Rewind Perfecter Glow. Medium on the Cheeks, Deep in the hollows of the cheeks for contour and forehead, and Light under the eyes for brightening. After bouncing into the skin with a sponge, I deepened the summer glow with City Bronzer in the shade 300. To complement the colorful eyeshadow, I used Hyper Easy Brown Eyeliner to create a neutral graphic liner complemented by small crystals. Lifter Gloss in shade Silk left the lips feeling fresh and evened out the tone.
