I have used this mascara for years, both regular and waterproof but something has changed recently and it isn't giving the same results as it used to. I am highly disappointed and would like to know what changed and why.

this is my favorite mascara ever. zero clumps, it separates and makes my lashes look way better but somehow doesn’t have any of the gloppy mascara look. I just really wish it came in brown!

Love the lengthening this mascara gives!!

I love this mascara! Its not out-of-the -ballpark expensive and does as good a job if not better than the high end mascaras. I also use the Colossal 9X mascara by Maybelline to thicken my lashes. Thats all i really neèd. I love the other big name brand mascaras just to try them out but always return to Maybelline. You never know if theres something that works better for a comparable price.

Had to get some waterproof mascara for my dad's funeral, knew I'd be a mess. This was the best I could have chosen, lasted all day and bonus - easy to remove with my oil cleanser. I have lashes with no color and they're straight, this mascara keeps the curl and stays all day.

My Holy Grail Mascara

I started using this a few years ago and have never looked back! It produces amazing length, but it also volumizes, separates without clumps, and holds a curl all day. I don't know if it's the formula or the brush that performs this magic, but I've never had such perfect looking lashes. You have a very loyal user/customer here - PLEASE don't discontinue it!

This is by far the best Mascara I have ever used. I am not sure if its the formula or the brush but if you want long lashes this is the best mascara. I have tried very high end, Lancôme, Estee lauder, Clinique, Chanel, even Revlon and other "drug store" brands and nothing beats the length and separation.

Forever my mascara!

I have been using lash stiletto for YEARS. I have spent a couple hundred dollars on others from high end to cheaper than this. I always return them and use this one. This separates my lashes, lengthens them and holds the curl all day long. Most waterproof mascaras drop the curl but not this one. Other mascaras clump within the first week of usage, not this one.

I’ve been wearing the waterproof Stiletto mascara ever since you came out with it and I love it!! It separates your lashes with no clumps and the length is incredible!! I get compliments all the time on my lashes and this is all I use. I’m 63 and have been using Maybelline mascaras since I was 12 years old. I’ve tried other ones but I always come back.

The best mascara EVER

I've used this for 4 or more years and I'll only use this. Makes my lashes look long and coats them well. The applicator brush is my favorite brush. I've cleaned and saved old ones to use perfecting the spread out and very little clumping. There is not one thing I dislike about this mascara.

I feel comfortable with my decision w/ Maybelline

this is one of my absolute favorite mascaras of all time, I usually use up to 5 different mascaras within 30 seconds each of eachother to keep it wet and continue sculpting and shaping my eyelashes. I only use and choose to use the lash stiletto jet black waterproof mascara between $8-$12.99 along with Telescopic another $10-$11 mascara and if I use it consistently every day I only have to buy 3 mascaras a month. It stays on for as long as you keep your hands out of your lashes. The quality is great, It holds water just as good as a umbrella would; just as if- shake it off and the water comes down without bleeding the mascara into your eyes.

The BEST waterproof mascara! EXCEPT...

I was in need of a waterproof mascara and tested multiple brands and products. This one was the BEST out of all mascaras, including another one of Maybelline's. It lengthens, DOES NOT CLUMP, and doesn't flake like most waterproof mascaras.
My ONLY complaint about this is, I just opened the bottle yesterday, and there's very little product in here. I did a swirl of the brush inside the container but still got MINIMAL product. I'm not sure if mine was a faulty bottle.

Ok, so I love another type of mascara, the formula is great but the wand is just too big. I have short, but thick lashes. So I was watching YouTube and saw that one influencer loves this mascara. Decided to give it a try. Didn't like it at first because the wand was a little spiky, but after some months I decided to give it another try. Tried it again, after one coat my lashes looked separated, long, wispy, and sexy. Truly just a beautiful mascara. After 8+ hours in the hot summer sun(95 degrees) and having just some eye cream on, saw a tiny bit of smudging under the eyes. My skin is already very oily so I thought that it may be due to that. But overall it's a tiny complaint compared to the most beautiful benefit it gave my lashes. Even after two coats, it keeps my lashes separated, and beautiful. No clumps at ALL.

Love It For A Week

This mascara is the best, and I’ve tried every drug store brand at one point. I love it so much that I always keep a new extra one as backup. My only complaint, and it’s a BIG one, is that within a week of opening a new tube I get huge clumps of goo on the wand which then it gets on my lashes leaving a big mess. It is because of this problem that I do keep searching for a new mascara, other than this one.

This mascara is has been my go-to for the past 7 years! This gives you length without the clump. Very affordable and better than high-end mascaras! Can be found at local drugstores around $7-$10! Highly recommend.

I have used this for years, now my Fred Meyer no longer has it, I have purchased every waterproof mascara they sell and have returned each one, all are dry and does not apply nice at all, I'm happy I can still purchase this on line.

When I choose a waterproof mascara I choose one that I know will deliver, which means I stick to what I know and solemnly gamble on new items without grabbing a backup mascara. THIS would be a backup, it is tried and true and exceeds my expectations. The brush is slim and slender which is great for my thin eyelashes and little inner corner lashes. It instantly lengthens my lashes too, and doesnt flake or budget throughout the day.

the length this mascara gives while being waterproof is unbelievable, amazingly buildable and easy to apply.. only downside is it clumps rather easily but thats easy to correct with the right applicator

WORKS! This made my lashes so long like what?! I love it. Personally my lashes r super short but this made them reach like 2 cm from my eyebrows (not good at math so idek if thats not long enough or what but omfg it works) you NEED this. Absolutely amazing.

Are use this at my cousins house before and I love it so much! It just works really good for my eyelashes because I have very long, straight eyelashes. It makes my eyes kind of pop a little more and look extra nice. It kind of does a better job than most other drugstore mascaras. Love so much would definitely recommend

Not my favorite mascara Ive used. Often is very clunky when putting it on. When you use it, it often splits the lashes. I would spend more money on a better mascara. I would not recommend buy this product.

I used to use this mascara when I did dance it really made my eyes pop and didnt get all over my face when I cried before we got on stage because were making fun on me. Yaa very effective product though.

Maybelline makes some of the most reliable mascaras. Some aren’t super stand-outside but definitely do the job, and I think that’s how this one went for me. It made my lashes darker and slightly longer and that’s about it!

This is one of my "holy grails" of makeup, I think this is my 4th tube I've bought. It holds up even when compared to some of the high-end makeup, similar to Buxom mascara and Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes. I absolutely love this mascara - it defines and darkens my lashes and looks very, very natural with no clumping. If you're going for "'no makeup' makeup," I recommend the brown shade (my favorite). It stays on very well without flaking, but is easy to wash off with just soap and water, you don't need any kind of oil-based makeup remover, but don't plan on crying a lot and expecting it to stay on. If you are teary, I also love the black water resistant variety.

Q: Where is the patent leather shine this used to have? I recently bought this as I remember using it back in 2012 and it had made my lashes long and glossy almost like falsies but this one doesn't shine even after it dries. Am I doing something wrong?

Q: Do you still make Stiletto WF 172 (brown-black) or an equivalent mascara?

- A: Hi Beverly the Lash Stiletto is now only available in the shade very black. The brownish black is no longer available in this mascara. As consumers ourselves, we know what its like to loose an old favorite. - A: Hi there! Unfortunately our Lash Stiletto Voluptuous Waterproof mascara is no longer available for purchase through our retailers and has been discontinued. We apologize about this and will be passing your comments along to our team. In the meantime, we suggest to take a look at our Volum' Express The Colossal Cat Eyes mascara.
