Chemical Burns and Bleeding

I used to love this product until my last two tubes have given me allergic reactions leading to chemical burns and bleeding on my eyelids and the corner of my eyes. At first, I assumed that since I have used the same kind of mascara for THREE years, that it was something else going on but after trial and error of every product I determined the mascara to be the cause.

I have been using this mascara for YEARS. It's actually hard to find now in stores and the last few times I've had to buy it online. It works best for my eye shape and lashes. I have red/ blonde hair color, so its important that I have a mascara that covers my lashes well and "naturally". I use the brownish black color to fit my hair color and skin tone well. Maybelline, please don't ever discontinue this product and please get brownish black back into stores!

My favorite mascara. I’ve been using it for years. It lengthens, volumizes, and has holds lash positioning. I’m having trouble finding this product at my usual locations. Please don’t discontinue it. This product is always recommended on the mascara comparison lists.

Best mascara award

Love this mascara! I have tried many other mascaras, including high end brands, and they always end up in the trash can. I have blond lashes, and this not only makes them longer, it gives great volume. The tapered wand gets all the little lashes, all the way to the inside corner of my eyes. This is the best mascara I have ever used!

Hands down: Best. Mascara. Ever!

Having sensitive eyes and skin makes finding the right products for me very difficult so, when I tried Maybelline’s Rocket mascara, I became an instant fan. Waterproof mascaras are not an option and the washable version in brown/black doesn’t flake or smudge underneath my eyes the way most others do for me. Taking it off at the end of the day is a breeze with my preferred two-layered eye makeup remover on a cotton pad to moisturize and condition at the same time. The brush is absolutely my favorite which makes The Rocket perfect in every way!

Leaves black pieces all over my face

Looks great when applied, but a nightmare to remove. I remove normally like I do with all my mascara with makeup removed but once I shower or wash my face it ends up all over my face in tiny black specs that don’t wash off. I have to practically scrub it off and it gets stuck on my hairline and all over.

Falsies Waterproof... Smearable Mascara??

Why does the Falsies waterproof smear so much but Rocket waterproof doesn't. My store was out of Rocket and sadly, I purchased Falsies as a replacement. I am sorely disappointed that In addition to the HUGE smear factor, the flimsy brush is almost impossible to manage.

Extremely Disappointed

I purchased this product and was really excited to get home and use it right away! The brush looked super nice! But, to my disappointment, I got home and opened up the packaging to find bone dry mascara and it actually broke the applicator brush when I tried to put it in the tube, so I pretty much just threw my money away on a product that I never got to use

NOT Volumizing and It Smudges

I have been blessed with naturally long lashes, however, they are not lush and full. I decided to try this brand because I refuse to spend $25 + on mascara anymore. Unfortunately, although this mascara is a lot less expensive, it did not impress me. It smudges both above and below my eyes. And while it does define the lashes I did not experience any difference in volume. And so the search continues...

This product is terrible. My eyes were red, watering, and swollen shortly after applying it. It was my first time using this specific mascara by Maybelline and I would not recommend it, they produce much better, higher quality macaras

The brush was so hard, I couldn't apply enough pressure to get enough mascara on my lashes. It barely looked like I had any mascara on. VERY disappointed. I will not buy Maybelline again.

Worst mascara I have ever tried it was super wet since I have super straight eyelashes it did not help at all to even curl them my eyelashes went right back down

I absolutely love this mascara. It has a great effect on the eyelashes, making them look fuller and longer without being clumpy. After mine ran out, still use it to comb my eyebrows and make them a little darker.

The best mascara for short lashes like mine! I wear this almost everyday. I think I'm almost out. The spoolie is stiff and I like that, it separates each lash and coats them in mascara. And adds length which I need!

This is one of my favorite mascaras! They make my eyelashes stand out better than any other mascaras that Ive used. Be careful getting it wet because it will clump and fall off as little pieces! Other than that its amazing!

One of my favorite drugstore mascaras and one of very few volumizing mascaras that I actually like. I tend to prefer lengthening formulas but this one is an exception. It is adds both volume and a bit of length to the lashes and the brush does a fabulous job of combing through the lashes to avoid clumping. I think this is particularly awesome when combined with a lengthening or fiber mascara like Maybelline Illegal Length Fiber Extensions Washable Mascara. I apply the fibers mascara first and then let it dry before adding a coat of this mascara and WOAH! Insanely bold beautiful lashes that last all day long!

This stuff lasts through the entire day, holds a curl super easily, and is easy to apply. Every time I get a sample of a higher end mascara I try it once and go back to the rocket! It can be hard to get off of your lashes (only ever smudges overnight)

I love this mascara, I have long eyelashes so I don't need length really. I look for mascaras to just add some volume and this did that, without making my lashes look chunky. I like the more natural look with mascara and this formula/wand combo is perfect for that. The only complaint I have is that I have to use more cleanser/micellar water to take this mascara off than I normally would with other mascaras. I really like how it spreads out my lashes, my favorite part of this mascara.

People say that Maybelline has the best drug store mascara, and they're right. There's no comparison. There is no other mascara at this price point that can do what these do or are as easy to apply. I'm not going to give a different review for each kind, because they are all basically the same for me. All of these Maybelline mascaras are in my makeup bag and I use them all the time.

This is what I would recommend to a friend looking for a drugstore mascara. I find all Maybelline mascaras have something to offer, but as someone who enjoys natural makeup I really like how this will make my lashes look without getting clumpy or crunchy.

Q: Did you quit making the Classic Volume Express? It's in a dark blue tube and I have used it for years. No smudging, no clumping. I used very black waterproof. Can't find it anywhere and I don't see it on your website.
