BLUE EYESHADOW LOOKS

& BLUE MAKEUP LOOKS
After the year we’ve had, we’re all ready to turn it up—and we’ve got just the thing: blue (yes, blue!) eyeshadow. This summer trend is having a moment and makeup artist Brandy Allen has the looks you’re going to want to copy ASAP. Giving off major confidence vibes, this bold makeup is perfect for work, play and date night. Here’s the down-low on two ways to wear it.

BLUE EYESHADOW LOOKS

  1. LOOK #1: BLUE SMOKEY EYE

"When doing my makeup, I like simple steps. The pigment in this product is bold and instantly buildable so creating this smokey eye can be achieved in 5 minutes or less! This look is perfect for evening and can match a little black dress or even cool toned pieces...Blue is the new black!," Brandy says.

  2. LOOK #1: HOW TO RECREATE IT

To get the look, simply shade the entire eyelid with a blue eyeshadow. Brandy recommends to "keep shading the blue into the crease until it begins to fade" and to "use a blending brush to smooth hard lines." Finish the look by lining your lash line with blue shadow and coating lashes with a blue mascara like Great Lash Royal Blue Washable Mascara.

  3. LOOK #2: NEGATIVE SPACE CAT EYE

"I never thought I’d love geometry…ever…..lol until I explored eyeliner shapes! I chose this look because creating shapes with eyeliner makes applying this makeup so much fun. It allows me to be creative and use this pencil in cool ways. I would wear this look on a date, to a party and even on zoom!," Brandy says.

  4. LOOK #2: HOW TO RECREATE IT

Start by creating an extra long wing using a blue eyeliner. Then, Brandy suggests starting "from the sharp edge of the wing to create an angled line connecting to your inner eye." Sharpen and clean up the edge of the eyeliner wing with a concealer that matches your skin tone. Finish the look by taking that same concealer and "apply it in the space left open in the eyeliner. This will make the negative space pop."
