Formula's awesome, shade choices NOT!

I absolutely love this formula and it would be my holygrail foundation, but like another reviewer on here, have tried every fair to light shade and none of them match my skin. The 110 is way too light and 112 is too dark and too peach. It breaks my heart because I have tried to mix different shades and it just doesn't work. Please work on your neutrals...because they aren't!

Please.. please bring back the actual SUPERSTAY 30. This isn't even close in comparison. Its watery, no coverage and does not last at all. Also, why isn't there color 310????????

Because it is so much lighter, it will not have the same thick, ultra-high coverage feel as the original Active Wear 30H. We have shared your love for the original full-coverage formula directly with our Product Development team! Regarding shade 310 (Sun Beige): it has not been discontinued! However, due to regional distribution, shade 310 is currently exclusive to our international markets (such as Asia and Europe) and is not part of the standard US retail lineup. If you are looking for your perfect match in our domestic US Lumi-Matte range, we highly recommend trying Shade 312 (Amber), which is the closest sister shade to 310 and features those same beautiful, warm neutral-to-golden undertones.

I love the coverage covers my pores and doesn’t make it look cakey or overdoing it. And lasts me quite a while because usually will have to do touch up but this one looks good and looks matte but not to matte with small shine or glow.

I dont know why they changed the formula. This new one is terrible. I used the old one for over 10 years and LOVED it, it was perfect. This is NOT full coverage at all and does not stay on the skin. Very upset about them changing it. Why fix something thats not broken. If you used the old formula you will NOT like this new one. Used to use shade 112 and it was perfect, now shade 112 is orange. Very sad.

30hrs? More like 30 seconds.

I am so, so, so disappointed in the new superstay foundation. The older one was always my go to. A full coverage all day wear without a single touch up needed. Even used it for my wedding and it lasted the entire day and night till the next morning, it is incredibly disappointing with what it has been replaced with :( I also stocked up because I travel and now I'm stuck with 3 bottles of an absolutely useless product that oxidises within minutes leaving me looking darker and worn out like I hadn't just put on a fresh look. I thought this was supposed to be an improvement? The only person who'd be happy with this product is one who never had the luxury of the previous one. It is NOTHING it promises to be. It is not swear or water proof, it transfers (not even fixing spray helps) so easily and one has to use SO much of product just to get something decent looking. Please, I plead with you as many of my fellow ladies have, bring the older version back. This one just... Sucks!

I cannot say I am a fan. I was a Superstay 30hr girlie all the way. I used it every day to the office and when I started working from home used it as my outting foundation with the tint as an everyday. Now I can't tell the difference and the tint seems to be better than the foundation. The old formula was far superior. Why fix something that's not broken. A very disappointed 18 year user of Maybelline

Undertones are not as described.

The "neutral" undertones are too peachy/pink and the warm ones are actually orange. I've tested 5 different shades for light skin and all looked terrible on me. The formula is also not good.

To have your go-to formula suddenly feel "watery" and lose that "color-payoff" you love is a major letdown. It sounds like the "grip" and pigment density just aren't hitting the mark anymore, leaving you with a finish that’s more "sheer" than "slay."

The new superstay lumi matte 30-hour foundation nowhere near as good as the previous 30-hour active wear foundation.
It is watery thin flat color with terrible texture and does not give full coverage nor does it last for even 5 hours, very disappointed.

I have combination skin and most foundations make my skin look too oily and wear off in a few hours. Others that do stay on are very flat looking. Do not like the dewy look cause after awhile it just looks oily. This stay limi matte is fantastic. Stays on, lasts all day and doesn’t make my skiing look greasy but glowing. I love this foundation. It’s better than some of the high end foundations I have tried. Please don’t ever stop making this product.

I can't find my shade

I used to have the Superstay "active wear" foundation in the shade 128 and now it's discontinued and reformulated for this foundation, so i bought it in the same shade and it's not the same!! It's very orange, so again I bought it but in 125 and the same thing, i want it cause i like the formula but I don't want to spend money again in the wrong shade

hides pimples and dark sports really well as well as you can build up the coverage as much as you like for me it does get oily after about 8 hours of wear because i have oily skin but other than that its not cakey at all i love it so much definatley going to buy again.

Love this product. Always thought that I needed a high end product for my facial issues- hyperpigmentation , oily, and aging skin. The semi-matte foundation from Maybelline blends well, doesn’t settle in fine lines and provides lasting coverage. I am also looking at other Maybelline products

LumiMatte is AWFUL! Bring Back Superstay Matte!

Maybelline, you don’t understand what you have done. Sometimes a foundation is more than makeup… it gives you the confidence to live a normal life. Your Superstay Matte foundation with the white cap enabled me to venture out of the house with confidence. It covered my facial scars and redness and STAYED PUT. I could make real connections with people and be present in conversations without being terrified that my foundation had slipped off the areas where I had lesions removed on my face. My career has improved because I no longer avoid public speaking and networking. I can go outside in the sun without being horrified that the bright light is exposing my scars. All that is gone now. This lilac cap version is absolute GARBAGE. It slides off in an hour. Covers nothing. I beg you - please bring back the old matte version! It was a miracle.

this new FORMULA is awful. I honestly cannot believe maybelline would do this to their customer base. I have used the old formula as my holy grail for 7 years. Only to find out when I went to go get a new bottle, they completely changed everything I and many other people loved about it. Used to give me a flawless finish but they changed the consistency from creamy to runny. This formula breaks down, creases, is really picky with primers, dries down weird. I have had elf products perform better than this new formula. It is sad because I am even combo skin, and this is simply just an awful product. They should have kept the old formula and made this in a new foundation if they wanted to do anything. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA and quit trying to fix what is not broke.

My go to shade is 356 warm coconut in the Fit Me Matte+Poreless but I had to get it in 355 Coconut since it was the closest but I still looked too orange. It would be great if they could add more shades like the Matte+Poreless line.

This new formula is horrible.

why why did you change the formula. The old one was thick and covered the flaws on the skin and lasted all day. This one does not cover anything. It is not mat at all, which I what I want and does not last at all either. why are most of the foundation now glossy???? Not everyone wants that look even though it may be in style for the youngsters out there. I would never again buy this foundation. Have to find another brand now. If you bring back the old formula, I will buy it again.

Not the same formula as the original one 😕. I used to love the orginal one only foundation that stayed on my oily skin. The coverage isn't the same, even trying to build it up

I hate the new formula. The old one was my holy grail and was really special among all the drugstore options. It was matte with great coverage but it didn’t look drying or cakey…and it stayed all day even in Florida humidity without breaking apart. This new one is breaking apart on my face within an hour just being indoors. My face isn’t even as oily as it was when I was younger so I was a little shocked. So many foundations pander to this glowy trend now. Why couldn’t you leave one of the best matte formulas on the drugstore market for those of us who need it? The competitors don’t need as nice. So frustrated.
